Two time NBA MVP, Lebron James just announced it on ESPN NEWS that he will be signing with the Miami Heat.
The Heat will now be loaded with 3 superstars who have played together in the Olympics (where the USA won Gold ) -- Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and Lebron James.

I’m not hoping. I still remember game 7 of the last dynasty between magic, Worth etc. The Lakers ran out of gas on the 3rd year Finals when they got clobbered by the Bad Boys.

It's a long season and anything can happen. Everyone thought Boston was too old this year too. They ran through their division like a buzz saw.
The Celtics have just reloaded and are “pissed off”! Watch for the Turk to become a new Kevin MacHale! My money is on Boston, if they can stay healthy.

Basketball is still a team sport. If three egos cannot work with each other, it is NOT a guarantee that they will win the championship.
Earl Monroe was a great basketball magician and one of the best one-on-one players for the Baltimore Bullets during his heyday. He routinely scored over 25 points a game.
When he went to NY, he had to subordinate his ego to play with Walt Frazier and the rest. In other words, he scored less points, handled the ball less, shot less, but played defense and moved the ball well with others.
He won his first and only championship because of that.
Will Wade, James and Bosh all sacrifice their individual stats for the good of the team ? Remains to be seen.

RE: This is the guy who said he wasn’t a “title chaser” going from team to team to win just so he could win a title. He wanted to build a title team in Cleveland.
I guess people are free to change their minds.
I really would cut him some slack.
After all, He played a good 7 years for the Cavs and led them to the playoffs and one title match when he was there. It isn’t like he bolted on them after just 3 years...
Time is running out and I guess he would like to join a team where his chances of winning the title are maximized.

This, plus playing with two big names stars and Miami being a big city with a great media presence and of course — NO STATE TAXES, probably nailed it for him.

Interesting isn’t it that both Allen and Pierce signed for less than they could have been paid on other teams. It reinforces the meaning of TEAM!
