On hoagy62's suggestion, I bought a sampler pack of JD's Bacon Salt. (from Amazon) It had 4 different mixes: Original, Natural, Peppered, and Hickory.
I have tried them all now, and I found them to be tasty. May favorite at present. is the Peppered, and the one I am least impressed by, is the Hickory. But that may be just a matter of taste buds, and that maybe I really didn't put enough of it on, to properly appreciate the taste.
I am intrigued about the possibilities for using it in other dishes, the most natural one being eggs.
But to sum up: I like, I like.

BTW: If anyone goes back to the original thread and sees the suggestion about using traditional Seasoned Salt...I liked it, but be forewarned: The caps they use as shakers for at least the Lawrys Seasoned Salt, put out a *lot* of seasoning per one shake, and it doesn’t take much to overseason popcorn. Use caution.
This is good when preparing chicken for cooking, but easily becomes overkill on popcorn.
Didn't know they had other flavors as well, might have to give 'em all a try.
I bet the ‘Peppered’ would make a good “kicked up” jerky.
(Maybe add a little ‘Mrs Dash’s Extra Spicy’?)
Haven’t had any jerky in a while. You’ve got my taste buds paying attention. Guess I’ll pick up some strips at the “Kwiki-Mart” next time through, for a rare treat.m :oP~~~
ghah1 in all this heat, I’ve been buying Deli Meats for cold sanwiches, and tonight with this topic at the fore of me brain, instead of getting out all the fixins, slicing up a tomato, Out of banana peppers, i just took two pirces of bread, some mayo, gave the mayo on the bread a light dusting with the Original, and then put a nice amount of sliced turkey breast for the sandwich...Was yummy, bound to be even better on toast with Lettuce and tomato.
...Might even work without the turkey, as a vegetarian BLT!
I ordered a free sample a while back and i’m still waiting for it. Can’t wait to try it.
Free sample?! Can you tell me where, please?
Thank you! May your bacon be crisp and plentiful.
