Introduction:

From the scientific point of view it is now very likely that there will be again another Ice Age, quite soon, in the world, that we shall have the north part of the world all frozen like it used to be, and we're beginning to have natural disasters, from the scientists' study it seems likely that we should soon begin to have these great changes in the earth's climate so people will not be able to live where they have, and the oceans will rise, and many cities will be flooded, like London, and Calcutta, and so on. These things, they say, will happen, according to scientific theory, in about forty years at the most, but maybe even quicker.

HERE COMES THE FLOOD

When the night shows the signals grow on radios
All the strange things they come and go as early warnings
Stranded starfish have no place to hide
Still waiting for the swollen easter tide
There’s no point in direction
We cannot even choose a side
Crowd

Lord here comes the flood
We’ll say goodbye to flesh and blood
If again the seas are silent in any still alive
It’ll be those who gave their island to survive
Drink up dreamers you’re running dry

I took the old track
The hollow shoulder, across the waters
On the tall cliffs
They were getting older; sons and daughters
The jaded underworld was riding high
Waves of steel hurled metal at the sky
And as the nails sunk in the cloud
The rain was warm and soaked the crowd

When the flood calls
You have no home, you have no walls
In the thunder crash
You’re a thousand minds, within a flash
Don’t be afraid to cry at what you see
The actors gone, there’s only you and me
And if we break before the dawn
They’ll use up what we used to be

Words by Peter Gabriel

We are in a sunspot minimum. What kind and how long?

I have reviewed blogs of all types for the last few months. The global warming alarmists still believe the world is getting warmer even if the NOAA chart is showing blue or less red.

Not too many experts are explaining what will happen during the Minimum.

We have Peruvians painting the peaks white.

We have Al who has pushed a global warming agenda for years with rising oceans purchasing ocean front property.

We have liberals who dearly hoped that Copenhagen would be successful. Don’t have to think, just let world government handle it all.

The nations that stood to benefit from the Copenhagen agreement refuse to change their culture and adapt to the needs of their people even with simple things, such as a water well. They would rather send their women to fetch water miles away than get off the duff and dig a well.

The people of the Himilayan mountains are now throwing their melting glaciers at us for we caused it with our excesses; global warming.

Then, why does so many people want to come here? Take care of our homeless?

So what can we expect from a minimum?

More colder longer winters, with summers shadowed by shorter growing seasons and drought.

You would be amazed how many nations are suffering drought.
Plug in drought to a Google news alert.

We also, here in the US have committed more land to Bio-fuels. We even cut down forest to do so. (We complain about Brazil cutting down Rain Forest) The Pope said stop. Couldn’t hear that over the abuse scandals.

So, where do we stand?

We have;:

Breached hydroelectric dams

Stop new construction of coal burning power plants

New atomic plants are on the drawing board.

Old atomic plants must close down before new ones are built

The Gulf of Mexico is polluted which is a major source of food.

We don’t know what the oil spill will do to the air quality in the south.

The present administration is concerned only about votes.

Votes don’t stop rolling blackouts or put food on the table.

The minimum we are in could easily change from a minimum to a mini-ice age.

Our Congress is concerned with global warming.

These are the cards we are playing with.

A recommendation: Look out for number one, Go Voltaire!

Must haves:

Alternate, off the grid, heat

Food storage

Cold weather gear.

Paul
