You must have missed the articles posted at FR about the 'changes' experienced in some of the suburban areas after Section 8 housing beneficiaries became part of the neighborhoods. And there were also stories about the problems in schools and neighborhoods where significant numbers of New Orleans evacuees relocated.
The evidence that people take their 'cultures' with them seems stronger than the opposite.

The riot still happened last night. There is a news story about it at the thread link, with ABC video, and a written news story.
As for mobs, you can go to any city in liberal ville, and find one.

You are so right about Section 8 housing. In the Chicago area quite a number of the homes that have been foreclosed on have now become Section 8 housing.

I have seen wack job, drunken sports riots. I saw 49's fans lose it after a game once, because they were blitzed out of their minds.
That is criminal behavior, and gets people killed. There is no excuse for it, by any race.
There is something more nefarious, and dangerous, about a crowd that is racially driven, as this one obviously was. That Asian kid was targeted - period.
There has been terrible violence against Asians by blacks in Philadelphia in the last year and the last few months.

I doubt this is all unrelated.
Many blacks are taught, from an early age, that hatred towards other races is not only "OK", but to be celebrated. It is seen as payback, and somehow deserved.
THAT is a huge difference between a drunken sports riot, and a racially motivated mob drunk on pure ethnic hatred.
