One month after the disappearance of 7-year-old Kyron Horman, police reportedly said a landscaper told them the Oregon boy's stepmother tried to hire him to kill her husband, Kaine Horman.
After a month with no trace of Kyron the family still hopes for his safe return. The allegation, first reported in The Oregonian but confirmed by ABC News affiliate KATU-TV in Portland through a source close to the investigation, thickens the cloud of suspicion surrounding Terri Horman, the last person to see Kyron before he went missing on June 4
The landscaper allegedly told police that Terri Horman approached him about killing her husband six or seven months before Kyron disappeared, the sources said.

LOL
I wish I'd read that last posting of Rob's long ago when he first posted it, as I've felt that this case may never be solved, but I didn't know that Rob agreed. For CSI devotee TMH, there are plenty of places to disappear a body, and particularly for individuals living so close to the seashore --- dumping human remains in the middle of the ocean, far away from any tidal currents will ensure the body is never found.
At this point, IF Kyron is alive and living somewhere in the COTU network, I kind of doubt they will ever tell anyone, not even Terri, where he ended up.
p.p.s. I first read Rob back in the first weeks after the disappearance of Natalee Holloway..... he’s the individual who figured out who “Simian” is/was, and that “Simian” was a group of Arubans, whereas SHANGO who never was identified by name, Rob believed to be an American agent who’d been stationed on Aruba for some long time.
Won’t it just be utterly pathetic if these folks are trying to hide their income & activities from marijuana cultivation, and thereby look SO suspicious that they are charge with first degree murder???
What are the chances they just happened to grab a kid whose stepmom tried to hire a hit man to kill the kid's dad? If the hit-man allegation is true, it's not a stranger abduction.
Yes, it was Willamette as well as the Oregonian. The Oregonian sweet talked themselves back into Kaine’s good graces. WW had enough reporter friends to keep them informed so didn’t need to go crawling back (good for them!). I don’t know that even they know why they got kicked out in the first place.
Did you see the LE pics of the two Fred Meyers still had the jpeg titles on them? Rumors are speculating (that’s my new word in this thanks to Gates) that it’s a gotcha snub at Terri. I dunno, a label on a mock up is much ado about nothing since obviously they have the video. Having the video will prove 1) occupants of the vehicle and 2) she told the truth. Of course, as usual, LE had to play games and not show the video but do a mock up so no one will know what they have or don’t have. If six people piled out of the truck and danced the hula, witnesses would likely come forward to say they remembered that. If one or two people got out and walked to the front door, then no one will have remembered all this time later. But why the need for witnesses unless no one but Terri got out and the camera was too far away to catch any occupants.
From the angle of the pic, it looks like she parked a long way from the front door of the FM on Imbrie. However, going over to 411.com it shows she parked on the next row over from the row right in front and no more than 16 spaces down the row to the front door. Of course, I haven’t a clue how crowded the parking lot was that day, but the parking spot seems about average to me.
At the FM on Walker, again using 411.com, she parked at the wall at the end of the row right out the front door. You can see in the fore ground of the LE pic the handicap ramp from the parking lot to the door. It’s about the same distance from vehicle to door, if not a bit closer, than the Imbrie FM. And, again, we don’t know how crowded the lot was that day. Both are a straight shot to the front door.
We also don’t know if she’s the type to drive around for 15 minutes waiting on a spot near the door or if she parks away from other vehicles because 1) she doesn’t want door dings or 2) she doesn’t mind a little walk. Or if she just pulls in a the first spot she sees.
Bottom line, I don’t see the significance of the specific spot she parked in but more in what the stores’ inside and outside cameras caught.
As for the pics of a white truck at the school, the LE mock up shows it parked on Skyline Blvd. and on what is the drive for maintenance trucks and tractor mowers for the softball/whatever sport field. I can’t see anyone who wanted to make a quick getaway parking on the maintenance drive. It’s one lane so you can’t turn around easily and of all places to park that would be the most memorable. Sure, it would take you up to the school building but there would be at least 6 nosy body mamas tisk-tisking about that Horman woman thinking she’s so good she doesn’t have to park in the parking lot or street like everyone else.
Maybe they already have witnesses to all these scenes and they just want more witnesses.
Not if there was someone else driving the vehicle and TMH was elsewhere (e.g. in the school until 8:45). People might still remember the white truck, and evidently they do. Maybe TMH figured the vehicle wouldn't be associated with her and that was her mistake.
******** WOW!!!! This is a MUST see album of the school. ********
The school appears old and depressing and looks abandoned with all the tall weeds. Caption under one pic (20-something) says ISD budget so poor that parents do maintenance. It would be risky with all the people there, or maybe the more people the better, but anyone could hide there.
There is a chain across the maintenance road but no clue if it is locked or merely hooked closed. It would also be risky getting back out onto the road and near impossible if cars were parked along the road. A second car would be needed to give an exit hole on the street.
To give a timeframe, these are referenced at WS on 7/10 at http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106904&page=7
Hmmm, Tyler said he saw the truck. He knew it was Terri’s. It’s not clear if he saw it outside the gym or at what time. If so, that would put it in the parking lot and not on the street.
That small of school, the kids know everybody’s vehicles. Our school is much larger and believe me, the kids see and know everything. There’s always half a dozen, usually those labeled as troublemakers, who are especially all knowing. Probably because they tend to get “lost” two steps out their classroom and end up wandering (exploring) around the school until the principal hollers at them. That’s who LE should have interviewed first thing. I would believe them over parents or teachers any day.
You assume that and it may be true but maybe TMH didn't take it into account. For one thing, she probably didn't plan to be the suspect everyone was looking at. She may have only focused on getting Kyron away from the school and hiding anyone accompanying her.
The truck may only have been parked on Skyline long enough to pick up Kyron and whatever adult was accompanying him.
It seems unlikely but perhaps there are two similar trucks involved.
The original stores that were mentioned in the news seemed to have been replaced by two others.
If she went the Cornelius Pass store that is a straight shot from the school, but there would barely be enough time to get there by 9. And even she would have figured that a store parking lot is not the best place to do a transfer.
Of course maybe the transfer happened after she entered the store.
There was a strange note left at Kyron's Wall of Hope, which referred to him by the nickname, "Special K."
Meantime, many posters point out that "Special K" is not only a cereal, (as in "serial" killer,) but also is the nickname of the drug Ketamine, which I've read on the boards is an animal tranquilizer.
Do you remember long, long, long ago that there were posts, here & there, about that there exists a HORSE TRANQUILIZER which body builders sometimes use to lose weight?
I wonder if those early posts were referring to ketamine??
I find it ...... chilling how the adjective and noun, "horse" appear again & again in this case....... with James now living on a horse ranch, with horses being used on some searches, and early mention of steroids used with horse tranqs.
Apparently those comments led to very heated remarks that KAINE is responsible for driving Terri to do... whatever it is that they presume she did.
I am NOT happy with Kaine, Tony, and Desiree --- all of whom so obviously despised and belittled Terri Horman and held such negative impressions of her for a long time ---- but felt it was quite FINE to cast her in the role of "House Nanny" ---- would you let your child have a primary caregiver who you considered to be a pathological compulsive liar, and who knows what all else they thought of her???
WHAT were they thinking, making her the Number One person in Kyron's existence, when they never ever even liked her?
Today at SM, I see there is mention of James' school grades going from Ds to As when he left Kaine's house and moved to Roseburg.
So sad.
One of the first places Kaine suggested looking is at a horse ranch in Banks which is about 25 miles west of Portland. I hadn’t heard James was at a ranch.
I don’t have a FB either but I read about the support even if convicted on one of the news article comments this morning, too. Portland, this is your brain on drugs.
All the hoopla over he said/she said resulting in James’ moving is unbelievable. I guess they can’t see that both sides could be right. Kaine could have very well wanted James out of his house and made life miserable for everyone. Even Tarver said Kaine butted heads with James. Terri’s solution would be to send James to her parents’ and his dad’s and out of the negative home environment. JMO.
Her mom, Carol, said a while back that James moved in with them in January and on to his dad’s in March. January was the MFH so this may very well have been what set Terri off and whatever happened to Kyron in motion (IF she did anything). Something seemed to be building in that home.
You have a point about the house nanny.

Apparently LE made a mistake yesterday in the timeline. They said they were wanting witnesses on the truck from 10:15 - 10:30 but Oregonlive (the only one to pick this up so far that I’ve seen) has made a correction to 10:15 - 11:30. If LE hadn’t been dancing around the issues so much at the pc, they wouldn’t have shot themselves in the foot with this.
We know LE has verified her timeline at both FMs and the gym. Now she’s down to an hour and fifteen minutes - or less since LE already said she checked into the gym at 11:29 and it would have taken a few minutes to park, get Kiara out, and into the gym. That’s not much time without an accomplice. I’m edging back on the fence again because it seems LE is grasping at straws. The community will be lighting torches if it isn’t Terri and two months have been lost.
She has a facebook page; allegedly on her FB, she clearly states that James has been with them since JANUARY.
I feel really sorry for James right now, I hope he gets really good, really superior counseling NOW, that he doesn't drop out of high school, particularly now that he is excelling with straight As..... I can't even begin to imagine being a junior or senior in high school, being the step brother of Kyron, and attending high school in Oregon.
Ya know?
SO sad.
But it does appear that James LOVES horses and gets along with his stepmother just superbly, so maybe he'll be okay, maybe even better than "okay."
Indeed.... I've sometimes wondered..... on the basis of NO evidence, and with reading nothing about it...... IF KYRON WANTED TO GO LIVE WITH JAMES on the horse ranch, where James lives now with his bio-dad birth father and his wife, James's stepmom.
Because Kyron obviously adored horses, so he not only lost his older brother, but he lost him to a home with LOTS of horses........
I have occasionally wondered if Kyron ever expressed a strong wish to go live with James, and coupled with the obvious dysfunction of her marriage, that it led to Terri simply "snapping."
However..... that doesn't explain all the gal pals -- I can't believe that multiple friends of ANYONE would ever participate in the disappearance and/or murder of a cute little kid.
I've noticed that online posters all over the place are convinced she's a murderer because she parked far far far away from the stores.
I know LOTS of adults who do this, and they do NOT want a stup parking lot accident which raises their car insurance.
Okay...... so NOT every single person in America does this, but PLENTY of careful drivers DO.
The online commentary is just so stupid, so self centered, with people screaming that Terri was HIDING something, that Terri is a murderess BECAUSE SHE PARKED FAR AWAY IN THE PARKING LOT, NEAR THE EXITS.
And accusing her of child abuse if she walked through the sixty-something degree drizzle with Baby-K to the store entrance.
The stuff you read online really makes me wonder if the JURY SYSTEM is still SAFE....... what idiotic, self-righteous commentary is SCARY!!!
