One month after the disappearance of 7-year-old Kyron Horman, police reportedly said a landscaper told them the Oregon boy's stepmother tried to hire him to kill her husband, Kaine Horman.

After a month with no trace of Kyron the family still hopes for his safe return. The allegation, first reported in The Oregonian but confirmed by ABC News affiliate KATU-TV in Portland through a source close to the investigation, thickens the cloud of suspicion surrounding Terri Horman, the last person to see Kyron before he went missing on June 4

The landscaper allegedly told police that Terri Horman approached him about killing her husband six or seven months before Kyron disappeared, the sources said.

>>>> "That is sooo true and a great point." <<<<

The early rumors about the swingers' clubs swirled with words like dominatrix, transvestite, crossdresser, bondage, porn stars, etc/etc/etc.

I've never seen anything like this with ANY missing child case. Now, such words were NOT permitted on conventional crime forums, but if you go back to the first few weeks and start reading the THOUSANDS of postings that appeared in the comments sections of news sites, then you'll know what I mean.

I recall there were plenty of nasty things posted online about Beth & Jug Twitty and Mountain Brook, Alabama, but NOTHING remotely like this. And of course it is, ALL of it, is mere online speculation & rumor, but it does give pause, simply because they are extraordinary allegations, in light of a missing child. It's a whole 'nother universe of potential stalkers & predators, just like that huge anonymous World Of Warcraft online gaming community, where literally MILLIONS of people are addicted to the fantasy roleplaying game --- did something from there happen to spill over into real life?????

And if so, would ANY of the LEOs even consider such a possibility? I mean since they are entirely FOCUSED on Terri, are they giving ANY manpower to the forensic investigation of the Hormans' online activities and IF there may exist anyone who seemed 'smitten' with her, anyone who was cyberstalking her, or playing with her in a dangerous manner????

Yeah, I see your point, but Desiree mentioned receiving 4-6 emails from Terri, DAILY, and that they were very chatty, long-winded and rambling....

That there's a LOT of emailing, LOL

Poster Doubledecker was asked about an interesting news story which MIGHT have import, but nobody can locate the report, strangely.

If you notice, Desiree made a plea to KYRON and no one made one single remark about Terri.

I too think it was sent to “someone” out there.

I still believe there was going to be something more to this news conference for DY to drive over 4 hours. Then again, I could be wrong. One time I was. :)

Around 4:30 p.m., a caller saw a boy matching Kyron's description in the back seat of a car headed northbound on South Tacoma Way in Lakewood, according to scanner chatter. The driver was described as a white male.

LOL, very interesting that after my posting about the bizarre posts at local news sites, that I see WS'rs discussing that mods at such news sites are deleting postings, left & right:

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/printthread.php?t=110469&pp=25&page=11

Say...... some WS'rs have been musing whether DY's comments yesterday were "code" - that her words were particularly chosen to have some particular meaning either for the perp or for Terri, which leads me to wonder if there is some ulterior meaning in her using the term, "stash" -- which although commonly means something hidden away or concealed or hoarded for future use, also has a druggie specific mean -- as in, "one's hidden stash of dope.

Because frankly, I am wondering if it is really likely that between January & April of 2006 that Terri went from 184 to 124 and became muscle bound enough to compete in one of those atrocious Ms.Ugliness.With.Strangely.Sculpted.Limbs . . . .

Since we've read that Terri wanted to repeat this insult upon her body AGAIN, in order to enter another body building contest . . . . I'm seriously wondering if she has some really strange contacts with the "Meth Mafia" and that THEY absconded with Kyron???

And that someone who is aware of the particular parties in Terri's meth-connection might spill the goods of Kyron's location for 50 grand.

?????????????????????????????????

I don't believe that she did THAT to her body in 3 lousy months without the assistance illegal methamphetamine. I cannot believe that the local health food store has fat burners to create THAT in ninety day.

NO way -- she was a 36 year olde lady with a slowing pre-perimenopausal metabolism.

You've mentioned suspicions re: Mike Cook who seemed to spring out of nowhere and suddenly become infamous --- I wonder what his connections are, IF ANY, to the local dope scene? Didn't his wife depict him as a probable drug trafficker? Does that ring a bell?

"working" forum RE: Michael Cook

I think one has to become a member there in order to access all the various "working" threads, but this one page was archived at the google cache.

Actually, Kaine said she lost the 60 lbs. in 4 months. That's 15 lbs. a month. Low carbing, I've lost 20 in a month so it's doable. Kaine said she was using fat burners and she was also doing extensive workouts so who knows for sure what she was taking. Not that his word is worth two cents and he's clueless in everything and doesn't even know if she even had a PPD doctor or what the prescription was, so whatever. It's his word that that's how much she lost but we don't know it's factual. I don't know if the alcohol was during that time or not or how that would effect the muscle building. I've know people who lived off alcohol and not much else and they wasted away - of course, they had other mental problems, too.

Faye Yager! That’s the woman who’s name I couldn’t remember.

Interesting the drastic slow down of articles and reporting since the NON-presser and since Kaine and Desiree saying the info out there is just coming from Terri and not from LE. I can just see editors calling their reporters on the carpet for sloppy reporting by dramatizing rumors and lies. Facts, man, facts!

You said you would just read the transcript of their interview. It’s on SM but that doesn’t give you the tone, inflections, and tut-tuts from listening to it. It’s those things that raised my hackles.

http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,988313-7,00.html HIDE AND SEEK ~~ TIME Magazine

.....Yager started Children of the Underground in the late '80s when she parted ways with another underground, based in Mississippi and run by Lydia Rayner. Like Rabun, Rayner loves Faye's passion and deplores her methods. Hiding children is discreet business, but Faye is a moth after the hot lights of news and talk shows. Geraldo, Sally Jessy Raphael, you name a show and she was there in Fabulous Faye getups, ranting not just about pervert dads but at times including homosexuals, Masons, judges and satanic cults on her list of unholy conspirators. She once said 70% of her cases involved cults......

.....Faye took on cases indiscriminately, and as a consequence the organization drew lashes from screaming dads, the FBI and attorneys who slapped huge lawsuits on them. It was important, Rayner says, that they harbor only women and children in the most obvious cases of horrible sexual abuse and judicial malpractice. About 350,000 cases of in-family abductions are reported each year in the U.S.--nearly 1,000 a day--and almost every one of them is a complicated mess that can't be easily judged by anyone, as Rayner sees it. Not even by the best-intentioned, well-trained professionals. Certainly not by Faye Yager.......

It's the CACHE version of a non-public webpage from a True Crime board where they are researching Mike Cook.

Say, bgill....

I've started to wonder, today, now that I've had a bit of exposure to the cult, CHILDREN OF THE UNDERGROUND . . . . that all this Bash-Terri, Trash-Terri, De-Legitimize Terri constant barrage of yak/yak/yak/yak/yak . . . . is NOT, repeat: NOT to influence Terri, but rather to communicate to those who are "protecting Kyron from his family of origin" that Terri's allegations were FALSE and that Terri cannot be trusted and that ....

Terri is a psychopathic LIAR!!!!!

Finally.... at long last.... there exists logic ..... logic & a reason why there essentially are NO searches going on.

The FBI is VERY familiar with these cult groups who snatch children to "protect" them --- but see, Terri sold them a false bill of goods, a fake story.

I think Kaine's only chance for them to release Kyron is if he can/will give Desiree SOLE custody.

It's OBVIOUS to me that young Kyron adores her husband Tony and wants to grow up to be just like him, a real police detective.

Seriously, these underground groups are so "off the radar" that I'd never heard of them; but I can imagine that that it would be EASY to convince them that Kaine was a danger.

No wonder they are actively accepting tips from EVERYWHERE, surely this is why they don't believe he's dead...... and with Terri's extreme interest in Dexter & CSI, I'm sure she followed plenty of true crime cases and knew all about Faye Yager and people similar to her.

Anyway, my working theory today, is that THIS is the reason for the extraordinary rhetoric from the bioparents.

Make sense???

Children of the Underground | Dart Center for Journalism & Trauma
By Mackenzie Carpenter and Allen Detrich

Part 1 of a Dart Award-winning account of the hidden network that shelters youngsters escaping from sexual or physical abuse at home -- real or alleged -- and a judicial system perceived as unwilling or unable to help them. Originally published in the Pittsburg Post-Gazette in December, 1997.

Families on the Run in Constant Fear of Discovery

This is what April Meyer remembers about life in the underground.

She remembers sleeping in her car, and eating at McDonald's. She remembers whispered telephone conversations with contacts who would give her hopelessly complicated instructions -"look for the house with the upstairs left hand window light on," and so forth.

She remembers being helped by families that were mostly poor, with children, although an older lady with money once put them up in a hotel.

"You'd drive to an address and the people would run out the door and hand you money and groceries and then run back into their house," she recalls. "It seemed so - well, everyone seemed so scared. We were terrified. We didn't know if the police were following us, although you have to act like they're right behind you."

After a frantic trip across the country in 1988, Meyer and her boyfriend, Ken Brewster, who had fled with her, found a place to stay in Watkins Glen....

If Kyron Horman is now being hidden by THE CHILDREN OF THE UNDERGROUND or a group closely affiliated with them, HOW can he possibly be found?

I believe that THESE groups are where LE has been focused, and that is why the bioparents believe that their son is still alive.

And it is why Desiree used the phrase, "Kyron is STASHED" somewhere. LE believes that psychopathic liar, drug abusing, alcoholic Terri Horman convinced one of these undergroud groups to take Kyron into hiding and to protect him from his family of origin.

THAT is why the cops ain't conducting conventional searches; THAT is why they are looking INTERNATIONALLY for Desiree's son; THAT is why they returned to the school recently, because they believe that someone from one of these groups was in the area of the school on the day of the Science Fair, June 4th, when Kyron disappeared.

THAT is why they continually criticize Terri in the press, wherever & however they can --- NOT because of the upcoming divorce & custody issues, but to let the people who are holding Kyron understand that Terri is ... a real piece of work... who simply wants to HURT Kaine, who perhaps hoped that Kaine would commit suicide if his son disappeared.... that Terri is a low IQ psychopath who criminally manipulated them by spinning a web of deceitful stories & assorted allegations about things that NEVER happened.

Kyrons real family is appealing to the folks who have him stashed to please let him come HOME.

I never knew anything about this huge international network of adults who've taken the law into their own hands.

Amazing.

Surely someone REALLY does know where Kyron is, and surely that someone could use a spare 50 grand CA$H.

I think that LE learned about Terri's connection with these groups .... from the second they opened up her computer. She is a dummie, and a very predictable dummie.

Now it is imperative, as Kaine mentioned, that EVERYONE keep an eye out for his son, no matter WHERE you are, as these organizations are EVERYWHERE.... and so, potentially, Kyron could be ANYWHERE.... and is alive.
