One month after the disappearance of 7-year-old Kyron Horman, police reportedly said a landscaper told them the Oregon boy's stepmother tried to hire him to kill her husband, Kaine Horman.

After a month with no trace of Kyron the family still hopes for his safe return. The allegation, first reported in The Oregonian but confirmed by ABC News affiliate KATU-TV in Portland through a source close to the investigation, thickens the cloud of suspicion surrounding Terri Horman, the last person to see Kyron before he went missing on June 4

The landscaper allegedly told police that Terri Horman approached him about killing her husband six or seven months before Kyron disappeared, the sources said.

I believe your comment (below) was very insightful. Terri seems to have been a prolific Face-book poster and we all know how dangerous that can be. Perhaps someone posed as an interested step-mother and trapped her into revealing too much personal information. She may not even admit to herself the possibility that Kyron’s abduction is by an online predator she allowed into her life.

____________________________________________________________
Personally, I have wondered many times if this is a stranger abduction, BUT that the stranger was stalking Kyron.

And . . . . that the stranger first saw Kyron either in a photo posted online, or perhaps at one of the gyms that Terri & Kaine frequent . . . . or, who knows? Maybe at that restaurant half way between Medford and Portland where the families would meet to exchange Kyron.

If the stranger discovered Kyron online — perhaps Terri was aware that someone was pinging her photos of Kyron a bit too often for her comfort level, and that’s why she started posting very few shots of Kyron.

Thanks for the link, interesting how he put it that the doubling of the reward money indicates that they have no leads, no evidence, no nothing.

We don't know all the sites she was active at, but we do know that she blogged her daily activities at Facebook and that both she & Kaine were active participants at the online gaming community, Worlds of Warcraft --- which has MANY millions upon millions of similarly addicted gaming enthusiasts.

And we have no idea if she was ever active in purely "adult" communities, but just with WOW and FB, it's possible that at least dozens, if not hundreds of child sex predators saw photographs of Kyron -- and could easily track the entire family down.

Right?

Another thing, too.

We have now learned that Terri was 'chatty' with Desi, sending her several lengthy rambling emails every day . . . . seems to me that Terri had NO idea what Desiree really thought of her . . . . plenty of people don't pick up on social cues, or are in Total.Denial.Of.The.Obvious and therefore, there could be MANY people, both in real life and in the virtual world who harbor animosity & rage towards Terri and she might be utterly OBLIVIOUS.

I hope that the computer forensics guy isn't someone trapped in a 1950s suburban American Pie mindset......

LOL, here's another which might interest you; LOL - sorry that I'm laughing, but just L@@Kie HERE how they're trying valiantly to corral any non-"Terri DUNNIT" comments to ONE thread, and to attempt to stop them being sprinkled throughout their forums:

Someday, when a transcript is available of the radio interview, then I'll examine their comments.

Meantime, the most important thing, seemingly, is that Desi & Kaine admitted that everything they've said about the case stems from things they've heard from people whom Terri mentioned things to.

So they've been treating the second, third, and fourth-hand comments allegedly stated by TH to be..... "interview worthy."

Which therefore means, that when the cops early on, after the first threesome interview press conference, when the cops early on came out and specifically stated that they had NOTHING whatsoever to do with that event nor with the infomation stemming from the participants..... perhaps that is a fact.

MAYBE the investigators are not sharing anything with Kaine or Desi & Tony.

Which means.... everybody must backtrack to the very beginning and only accept those statements which were made by LE.

Everything else is conjecture, and worse yet, may lead back to someone who apparently has the reputation of being a compulsive liar.

On other messageboards I've seen long explanations about restraining orders which use the Dave Letterman case as an example -- to wit: the weird hallucinating woman who claimed that Letterman was communicating private messages to her on his late night show -- she was able to get a restraining order on him.

The RO was not dismissed until Letterman contested it.

Terri has not contested the RO, but that does NOT mean that it contains any facts, any more than the crazy lady fan of Letterman's had any facts in her RO, which the judge DID grant.

I am AMAZED that WS apparently doesn't understand this and the posters continue to believe the contents of the RO --- for instance, nowhere is there any proof, as yet, of the MFH plot. NO evidence, not yet.

And don't most people under, say, about age 40 or so, don't almost 99% of them text "all the time"????

When one reads in the news, over the past decade, that teenagers are sexting all the time, then surely there are a substantial percentage of adults who do likewise?

WHY would anyone find it peculiar that a lonely adult female caring for the children of Kaine Horman who noticed that NOTHING WAS WRONG, that such a woman would latch on to Michael Cook who apparently was giving her a lot of attention? Why is that considered ODD???

I mean really, it's obvious to me that the other 3 adults literally despise her, why wouldn't she latch onto a male who didn't outright loathe her????

***** seems to me that Terri had NO idea what Desiree really thought of her . . . .*****

It was probably a mutual dance - but they had to cooperate for Kyron’s sake. The *chatty* emails were probably school related and vacation/custody arrangements.

Sorta like a mother-in-law relationship;) Civility for the kids.

With this crisis, Desiree is venting in hindsight. We all do it.

Do you realize that there has been NOTHING new discovered in this case since maybe days after Kyron vanished?

And they got paid for finding out nothing.

Guard your kids and grandkids and for God's sake, don't send them to publik skools.

Well now hold the train. I have been reading John Douglas books and he says they do things like this in public with specific plans to make contact or bring out people who know and are keeping quiet.

I think that may be the only reason there ever was for the press conference and all kinds of pre-publicity. If they think Kyron is alive somewhere, they are tempting his keeper with more money.

So perhaps the press conference was not for the general public at all.

if the rumors about the swinger's club are true & accurate, then there is a whole 'nother universe of potential perps.

That is sooo true and a great point.

And it never ends. Yesterday on People magazine K&D are still creating rumors. Yes, in their hearts they have to believe he’s coming home but to throw stuff out there when there’s no evidence is not going to help. The community isn’t going to go out to look for him and they aren’t going to come forward with any suspicions they might have that don’t follow the Terri Did It line because they many think it’s already a slam dunk.

“I believe that he’s stashed,”... Young says Terri has “the big answer.”

“I think it [was] arranged,” adds Kaine. “We have no information that would lead us to believe that”

I saw that too...

You know, for me this is all kind of deja vue...

Missing McCleary Girl: 5 Days And Still No Sign Of Lindsey Baum

The above link was from over a year ago. I work right around the corner and with people from this town. It is a sleepy "safe" town with good people. The girl was walking just a few blocks to her home when she disappeared.

They did all the same stuff as with Kyron. Just the same, EXCEPT, this family was not into wierd stuff and just cried a lot on tv.

So probably we will never know what happened to either of these children, as frustrating as it is.

I just wanted to share this to show why I think there are just some child molesters and killers who take ten or more years to get caught.

Oh yeah and maybe just maybe Kyron going missing just brought all the inherent pathologies of this "family" into the light and ignited them.

Notice that now we are going back to Terri stealing Kaine from Desiree.

Maybe none of it is about Kyron at all and some wierdo took him from the school and drove him to another state, molested him and killed him.

Maybe Desiree is reliving her loss of Kaine and just hoping that Kyron is still alive stashed somewhere. And maybe LE doesn't know how to tell her he is probably dead by now.

Seriously, sexting has been in the news frequently, particularly for teens - because the question of CHILD PORN arises, because the teens are minors.

Just in the past couple days I heard that an 18 year old guy is in Big Trouble for sending his gal a naked pic of himself, and he 'forgot' that his girlfriend shares her cellphone with her mom. She is 17, and he is 18, and evidentally the mom saw the pic first and had a meltdown.

There have been SCADS of articles posted here at FR about this, the sexting & mutual exchange of naked photos amongst teenagers.

Yep, there’s a long long long list of children snatched up by child predators who are never seen again, their remains never located, it is simply disgusting. I think that’s part of the reason that I feel that it was Beth Holloway who doubled the reward; when she was in Aruba searching for her daughter, there were several times that she pledged substantial reward sums here in the USA for missing young women.
