We’ve put signs at the local mini market, the post office, the school and the community park.
Sure hope someone calls. She is so sweet and Marissa jumps up every morning to go out and check on her.

Amy, is that a Pekingnese?(sp) My mother in law had 2 of them, one after the other. Her first one was Ching and he lived a good long life, then she got her second one and its name was Lu-Toy. They are very sweet dogs. I feel sorry for it and I know what pressure you’re under. Best wishes on making decisions about it.
By the way Lu-Toy outlived my MIL and my SIL took her and I took her cat, Susie! Susie lived almost 17 years. Lu-Toy didn’t live long, we think she grieved herself to death.

I feel that she might have run away from home because of the fireworks. If I can find her family, I would love to return her to them. I think she is a pekingese mix. She is pretty matted. I wonder if the SPCA has a groomer.
If/when I take her to the SPCA, I will talk to them about me taking her if no one claims her. Marissa has been wishing for a small dog ... she thinks her prayers have been answered. :) If we keep her, it will be Marissa’s job to brush her every day.

I would say you’re right about the fire crackers. My son’s dogs were crazy when all those fireworks were going off. He kept them in the den downstairs but every time one of us went in or out of the door, they got right around our feet. I felt so sorry for them.
You may be lucky and find the owners. I bet whoever lost her are believing they will never find her. Things may work out.
But if you decide to keep her, it will work out also. We know Marissa will love her. But getting kids to help is another thing. Mine use to promise everything if we would just get a dog. That lasted about 2 days. LOL!
Good Luck!!

False Predictions July 8, 2010
News that a solar eclipse would take place on July 22, 2009, brought an alarming prediction. It was predicted that the eclipse would sufficiently affect gravitational pull, causing tectonic plates to pop a seam, resulting in a sizable earthquake and a subsequent devastating tsunami in Japan. The US Geological Survey responded that no scientists have ever predicted a major earthquake. They do not know how, and they do not expect to know how, anytime in the foreseeable future.
There have also been many false predictions about the date of Christs second comingdespite our Lords emphatic words: But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only (Matt. 24:36). Christ told His followers that instead of trying to predict the date of His return, they should watch (v.42) and be ready (v.44).
Peter warned, The day of the Lord will come like a thief. Then he added: What kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives (2 Peter 3:10-11 NIV).
Striving to live for Godthats what Jesus wants us to focus our energy on while we wait for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13).
When someone says, I can discern
Exactly when Christ will return,
Dont be deceived or led astray
The Lord said we cant know the day. Sper
Look for Christs return, and youll live for Christs glory.
Read: Matthew 24:36-44
Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?
Matthew 24:3

~Good Morning Everyone~
I have stayed off the internet this week
because of back pain.
I have to pay to play..and despite the great
fun of being together with my children and
their spouses...my back rebelled big time.
*Missing you*

Look Closely
When you look out at the stars, your feet are planted firm,
But heres a little thought that could just maybe make you squirm.
Shrink down the place youve been on from the day that was your birth,
As if you saw it from the next rock out, like Venus seen from Earth.
Now Venus seems a bright spot in the night, much like a star,
But when it crossed the Solar face, a tiny speck seen from afar.
If such a little step can make the world shrink to a dot,
Just think what would occur if you could move around a lot!
To journey to some nearby stars where constellations bend,
Or further, where the Milky Way illusion has its end,
Just think about this fact of life when you begin to roam,
The art of Navigation lies in finding your way Home.
