Our only awful day was last Monday when we reached 108.

Couldn't have been better! It could easily have been cooler, though. I turned on the AC in my truck for a few minutes while I was driving today, just to see if it still worked.

It still worked, but I turned it off again. Wastes too much gas, and I'm not even paying for it! But it's comforting to know that if it gets hot I can use it.

It was only a hundred and four today.

The way people act you'd think so. But we only broke a record yesterday. I think of July and August as "the months with some hot days". At least that's the way I remember them from my childhood days.
