I’m thankful for all days, aren’t you? I think I must do some work though. I have the first load of laundry washing, I’ve watered the flowers earlier as I can’t stand the evening heat! Added water to the pool, had breakfast and cleaned up the mess.
The vacuum is sitting here begging me....LOL! I’m trying to make a deal with it! LOL!

The Barn
A little page of history, a memory of hay,
A little bit of Summer made a bed on which to lay.
The cobwebs in the corners, the buzzing of the flies,
A silent song of clouds conversing in the Summer skies.
The chorus that will follow, the crunch of leaves in fall,
And wondering if chores can be completely done at all.
The Summer gives a respite, a chance to catch your breath,
The green of Summer goodness turns to sweetness with its death.
Putting up the bounty, preparing for the feast,
Tossing hay up in the barn, our net worth is increased.
The cattle stand by idly, ignoring all the work,
They cannot know the price to pay for duty that you shirk.
