Hey there,,,
I skimmed the thread and I see you have a “varmit”problem!
That's a great pistola you got there,,,Great Choice,,,
Load it up with some +P ammo and your good to go,,,
Next time you get to the gunshop/show pickup a few
“speed loaders”,,,
They will load all six at once,,,
As for a shotgun the Mossberg model 88 is hard to beat,,,
Mine cost me about $320.00 new for an 8 shooter(12 ga.),,,
Watch your back,,,
Be safe...

Dont Just Retire July 22, 2010
The first people to climb Mt. Everest, the worlds highest mountain, were Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay in 1953. Hillary was just 33 years old. His feat afforded him fame, wealth, and the realization that he had already lived a remarkable life.
So, what did Hillary do for the next 55 years? Did he retire and rest on his laurels? Absolutely not.
Although Hillary had no higher mountains to climb, that didnt stop him. He achieved other notable goals, including a concerted effort to improve the welfare of the Nepalese people living near Mt. Everesta task he carried on until his death in 2008.
Did you know that God told the Levites to retire from their regular duties at age 50? (Num. 8:24-25). But He did not want them to stop helping others. He said that they should minister with their brethren . . . to attend to needs (v.26). We cannot take this incident as a complete teaching on retirement, but we can see a godly implication that continuing to serve others after our working days are over is a good idea.
Many people find that when they retire they have nothing meaningful to do with their time. But as the Levites and Sir Edmund Hillary did, we can refocus when we retiregiving of our time to help others.
The Lord will give you help and strength
For work He bids you do;
Serve others from a heart of love
Is what He asks of you. Fasick
Life takes on new meaning when we invest ourselves in others.
Read: Numbers 8:23-26
They may minister with their brethren . . . to attend to needs.

Thank you, Pam. That sweet graphic of the two unlikely friends is from an old "Finest" thread's Warm Fuzzy Wednesday. We did lots of multiple table (frames) on our openings there - much like Meg's Sunday openings.
Your pink roses and message is so pretty and sweet.

Thirsty Thursday

"Let's Get Back To The Simple Life"?
Do I detect a Bit of "Anti-Caveman Pandering" in that remark?
I'll have you know, We invented Fire, The Wheel, Art, Cooked Food, Hunting, Agriculture, Covering One's Nakedness, and a Host of Other Inventions YOU can't Live Without!
I have a good mind to report your post to the National Association For the Advancement of Neanderthal People!
And THEN I will have some Roast Duck with the Mango Salsa.
Love,

Graphic by Billie
Memories
Memories in black and white, of sunny days gone by,
Recalling smiles and music, the taste of summer fun,
The blue of sky, the yellow sun, the bright green of the grass,
In black and white photos in my mind, now that the days are done.
Those silent pictures singing out their music and their joy,
Of hayrides, songfests, parties and families gathered up,
To pat the heads and see the smiles of the newest younguns,
And all of that crammed into a photograph with edges all curled up.
Your fancy computers may hold a lot of data, and then connect you,
With a world much wider than Ive known and wandered,
But if it cant expand a faded image into distant laughter,
Then you may find it isnt time but life youve squandered.
