LOL, ML! No, I don’t need a kitten - I need a BIG dog! (I talked to them at the vet’s today - and then stopped at the hardware store on the way home, and got a BIG “NO TRESPASSING” sign. (On the bottom, it says, “Violaters will be prosecuted”. Also bought a very powerful little flashlight, to keep by my bed.

Yes, that is what the police told me - that the two people whistling signals were 'like' coyotes - and I was their 'rabbit'!
IOW, they were stalking me, and the one at my window was signaling the other, to let him know he "had the rabbit cornered".
The police dispatcher told me that what happened was not just an imaginary threat - it was a VERY REAL DANGER I was in. I never knew that 'prowlers/trespassers/thieves' would whistle to each other. She told me that is exactally what they do before the attack!
Well, JC, I don't think ANY place is safe on our soil anymore. Druggies, Dealers, and desparate and evil people are intent on taking what they want, from whom-ever is in their path.
Times have changed, since we brought up our kids, when we never even locked our house at night.
I wish there were a "Sanctuary City" for Honest, Law Abiding, Christian, women who are living alone and being threatened.

Swimming Friends
Morty and Saul, are out one afternoon on a lake when their boat starts sinking.
Saul the banker says to Morty, “So listen, Morty, you know I don’t swim so well.”
Morty remembered how to carry another swimmer from his lifeguard class when he was just a kid. So Morty begins tugging Saul toward shore.
After twenty minutes, he begins to tire.
Finally about 50 feet from shore, Morty asks Saul, “So Saul, do you suppose you could float alone?”
Saul replies, “Morty, this is a heck of a time to be asking for money!”

And thanks for the tip about the motion detector. We could only put in one (in the home office) because of the cats, darn it, but I guess that’s better than nothing. The guy told us most crooks head for the master bedroom and office first. We have a safe in the office too, they won’t be able to get that out. Not that much in there, mostly family albums and stuff, but still.
But, I talked with a friend today, and he told me that I can get a good shotgun at the Pawn Shop. I never thought of that. He also said Wal-Mart sells shotguns, too. And the Police recommended a gun shop - where they can sign me up in classes for the CCW. In the class, I will learn how to use it safely!
WOW, that is great! Thanks for the photo!!! That’s similar to what I have, except it’s a little longer barrel. We’re trying to stock up on shotguns too, only have one right now, from a gun show, waiting for some more private purchase opportunities.
My friend told me today, that you can get one for half the price at a pawn shop, BQ. You might want to look into that when the time is right.
