Judge Not!

When Jesus commanded, “Judge not,” He was not implying that we should be naïve or imprudent. Of course we need to think critically and analytically in this world where we are often confronted with error and wrongdoing. Instead, He meant that we should not be condemning or accusing, a point Paul made eloquently: “Judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts” (1 Cor. 4:5).

Poet Robert Burns made a similar point, writing of those whose actions are in doubt: “One point must still be greatly dark—the [motive]. Why they do it.” No one knows another’s motives. God alone can bring to light what is hidden in darkness; He alone can expose the intentions of the heart.

Jesus knows the latent forces that motivate others: the cruel beginnings, the fear, the disappointment, the broken heart, the sin that is resisted. Moreover, He is working in every submissive heart to bring it to maturity. Thus in the end—quite often contrary to our expectations—He will bring praise to those He has brought to completion.

The Lord alone can try the heart. Until He returns, let’s ask Him to help us examine our own.

"Wear Red" Friday

You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.

That is sure a cute little guy wearing his red this morning.

I had hoped to spend some time before making my PO and Bank run to Fresno today, but ..... the best laid plans ...

We discovered a growth on Millie’s tongue last night so I need to make a call to see if we can get her into the vet this morning after I take Marissa to VBS.

I hope we don’t have any trouble with getting her there. Last time she went to the vet, we couldn’t handle her and had to get someone from the office to come out and help us get her inside. When she needs shots, someone comes to the car and gives them to her.

Anyway, have a wonderful Friday and I will try to post something when we know something.

Just took Marissa to VBS. She will go home with one of my nieces afterwards.

Millie is our 11 year old shepherd. The kids saw this thing on her tongue 4 - 6 weeks ago but didn’t say anything. I called and we have an appt at 10:00. Say a little prayer for our Millie.

She is an excellent, alert watchdog. I doubt that she would ever bite anyone but she would scare them.
