What a shame. Maybe they can play for 0bama all those dates, instead.

Next story: bad old mean conservatives quashed the Lilith Fair.
But as usual liberals pay lip service to supporting ‘their’ artists but fail to buy tickets due to apathy and/or lack of funds.
Anyway, with Hillary, Napolitano and potentially Kagan holding high office the Lilith Fair could be judged to have achieved its objective (wink wink).

Sad, I enjoy the singers but not their politics.
The line-up isn’t very strong.

Isn't this just some feel-good lesbi-liberal thing, anyway?
Looks like it jumped the shark.

Kinda shocking here actually...some huge artists on this tour...guess their boy Obama isn’t filling their fans pockets enough. Couple this with the fact that Ticketmaster has been selling tickets for 10.00 each with no service fee to these shows all week long.

I actually got roped into going to the 1997 Lilith show. Got a nice lawn seat, a comfortable blanket and a 4 hour power nap. I think I caught 15 minutes of Tracy Chapman’s set before passing out.

From Wiki:
Lilith (Hebrew: לילית Līlīt) is believed to have originated as a female Mesopotamian storm demon associated with wind and was thought to be a bearer of disease, illness, and death. The figure of Lilith first appeared in a class of wind and storm demons or spirits as Lilitu, in Sumer, circa 4000 BC. The phonetic name Lilith is traditionally thought to have originated in Ancient Israel, and to have pre-dated at least 700 BC.
In Jewish folklore, Lilith is the name of Adam's first wife, who was created at the same time and from the same earth as Adam. She left Adam after she refused to become subservient to Adam and then would not return to the Garden of Eden after she mated with archangel Samael. Her story was greatly developed, during the Middle Ages, in the tradition of Aggadic midrashim, the Zohar and Jewish mysticism. The resulting Lilith legend is still commonly used as source material in modern culture, literature, occultism, fantasy and horror.
In a paper on the subject of feminist theology, Deborah J. Grenn, of the Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute, has argued that Lilith was a mother goddess whose demonization was designed to keep women alienated from their own 'original sources' of power and spiritual authority. The case is argued for "a reinterpretation of the divine as embodied by the Semitic goddess Lilith, she who has been represented and misrepresented in a variety of sacred texts".

People, out of work and floundering in the 0bama Depression, can’t spare the cash. Go complain to the marxist usurper.

No, our audiences haven't gotten smaller.
They're just, ah, more selective.

OMG, women are not supporting women? The lesbians aren’t supporting lesbian artists? Feminists aren’t supporting feminists? Shocking. Shocking, I say. Where is the sisterhood? I mean they won’t just all get together for the sake of bitching about men?

Named after Lilith, the female demon who consumed children. It would seem that “she” is the unofficial demonic patroness of abortion. Someone did an analysis of the links between the symbolism and the practice of abortion a few years ago. It was pretty spooky.
