Heh... I've seen the "moon illusion" before, and like the jokers who wouldn't look through Galileo's telescope, I'm not interested in any "proof" from some newfangled telescope that it isn't real. ;') Thanks LV! Non-list topic, pingin' it anyway, bound to be of interest.

Scientists aren't completely sure why, but low-hanging moons tend to look exceptionally largeI learned 50 years ago in Jr High science that it looks that way because the steep angle of the moonlight is refracted by the subsequently "thicker" atmosphere.
Are these the same "scientists" who believe in AGW?
