Discussion of potential oil gusher problems:
Tropical storm would cause problems for oil spill cleanup efforts

What will oil in the Gulf of Mexico do to a hurricane? Jeff Masters with interesting theories.
Yes, we were luckier than a lot of people. We are 50 miles from the coast so we didn’t have to evacuate. Our home wasn’t damaged and if it had been we can afford to have it fix right away. Praise God but we got so tired of the aftermath.
I'm not! It brings it almost directly over my head!
Stop rooting and do a rain dance! LOL!
Strange cravings, eh?
Expecting a little one?
The big trees are no match when a hurricane drives inland. Will never forget the inland destruction from Hugo and Fran winds more than 120 miles from the coast.
Hi, NN!
My grandparents used to call lovebugs telephone bugs: they say hello and hang up.
Oh my...me too...
Thanks for the ping btw. :-)
God bless you dear one!
LOL! Very clever
Thnaks for the ping NN. it is going to be a very tense hurricane season
Thanks, here we go AGAIN.
Like sands through the hour glass, so go the days of our lives along the coast. Great to see you back again, jpsb.
Tense is a good descriptor for the Gulf coast.
I am 68 so I hope not.
New thread “ http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2542032/posts “ Operation to stop oil leak in Gulf of Mexico halted [Due to Weather)
Not good.
Uh-oh...
The big freeze of '62 killed the one my grandparents had in their yard in Tampa. That tree must have been 25 or 30 feet tall.

Hope "Alex" shuts up the oil spill hysterics and somehow moves it out to sea, or visits Barry and the gang. However the Lord would choose to demonstrate He is in control of our country and her waters. Hope somehow this will turn into a blessing for the gulf regions, and not more heartache.
And we’re off and running in the Annual Hurricane Thread Derby with Alex breaking off the pole into the lead!
Thanks. Hope everyone has done their prep by now.
