USAA!!! USA!!! USA!!!

I’m a little new to the World Cup and Soccer thing, but what are the chances we take the whole thing?
Some interesting matchups beyond the obvious USA one.
Spain-Portugal could be quite good, unless Portugal decides to play like they did today (Zzzzzz).
Germany-England is always good fun.
Looks like Argentina and Netherlands have a good run going. We’ll see if they can keep it up.
I like US’s chances against Ghana, but I don’t know how far they could get after that.
USA, Brazil, and Spain should reach the semis. The other group is going to be tough.
I think the US has a decent shot at making the semis, after that, if we get lucky and Brazil loses we have a shot to make it to the finals.
Did you ever here the one about slim and none?
Pretty slim, unfortunately.
if it is a draw then it goes to extra time , 15 mins each way , if still a draw then it’s penalties
No after regular time there will be a “golden goal” overtime. If it is not settled, it will go to a best of 5 penalty kicks, if it is still tied it will go to sudden death penalty kicks (The first team to miss loses - Both teams get a kick).
no way, USA should beat Ghana but after that who knows.it will be either uruguay or Korea
USA has a much easier road in unlike the other side which is England v Germany , Portugal, Holland etc.
If USA could ever win this it would be now due tot he eas way tot he finals or at least semi’s
about the same as zero admitting he was wrong about everything the past 16 months....
Normally none. However, two of the normally best teams are out: France and Italy (they were #2 and #1 respectively at the last World Cup). So we may get a little further before we lose to someone like Germany or Brazil.
It looks like they’ve purposely set up some rivalries: Spain v Portugal, England v Germany, Mexico v Argentina, border nations Chile v. Brazil. But then again, it would have been so easy to match up Uruguay v Paraguay and Japan v. Korea; they must not have foreseen those countries winning?
Of course, the ultimate battle of heavyweights is the remaining matchup: US v Ghana.
Welcome to soccer. As far as what are the chances, well somewhere between no chance and anything can happen in a soccer game.
Ghana is a goner.
(In Bostonese, that’s funny.)
The World Cup is like World War II. The French are out early, the US got in late, and the English are up against the Germans.
