I’m a little new to the World Cup and Soccer thing, but what are the chances we take the whole thing?

Looks like Argentina and Netherlands have a good run going. We’ll see if they can keep it up.

I like US’s chances against Ghana, but I don’t know how far they could get after that.

USA, Brazil, and Spain should reach the semis. The other group is going to be tough.

It looks like they’ve purposely set up some rivalries: Spain v Portugal, England v Germany, Mexico v Argentina, border nations Chile v. Brazil. But then again, it would have been so easy to match up Uruguay v Paraguay and Japan v. Korea; they must not have foreseen those countries winning?

Of course, the ultimate battle of heavyweights is the remaining matchup: US v Ghana.

I heard this from a Brit who works for my company.

The World Cup is like World War II. The French are out early, the US got in late, and the English are up against the Germans.

we have the easiest road to the semis so if anytime was the time to make it that far its now! winning the semis or final is a whole other ballgame as we will be facing Netherlands or Brazil in the semis, or anyone of Germany, England, Argentina, Spain in the finals.
