Most threads on FR are excerpts from news articles. People critique, agree with, disagree with, or otherwise give their opinions on the news article. A vanity is when someone posts their thoughts on something as if it’s a news article. It’s generally frowned upon around here, as we try to stick to legitimate news stories and not turn the board into an endless stream of blog postings.
