It's finally getting to me, this change in my country. Life is just not how it used to be and will never be that way again. There have been other life changes--my husband's more-or-less forced retirement, October 2008 at a job that is in the finance industry with the subsequent cutback in hours, and that wonderful time in a woman's life when everything sort of sags and stops.
Worst of all is the breakneck speed at which the norms, traditions, and the Constitution have been shoved aside for some young,upstart, radical Communist's agenda, czars, and that d*&*ED executive order pen. That is depressing because there seems to be no way to change the headlong plunge or even slow it down. November 2010? HAH! As if they'll let a real election occur. Most of those-called "Republicans" in Congress aren't helping either. Where are the real, USA-loving, Law-abiding MEN? Where are their principles?
I want things to go back to the way they were, but that's not going to happen---that is majorly depressing. Freddie, Fannie and their puppeteers ruined that scenario, not only for the U.S., but for the planet. Hope they are proud of themselves...

I agree!!! The company I work for has lost 3clients, we have terminated 6 people and I am now doing my regular job plus the mail plus answering the front phone plus processing for 2 clients all probably 80 hours a week. However, I have a job, a place to live, I enjoy shooting my guns, playing video games, going out on the weekend looking to buy a house, going to church. Having movie night with friends. Taking the niece and nephews out to the park. And most importantly getting ready to vote in November!!! They may be a bunch of bums but I Refuse To Participate!!!
I will not go quietly in to the good night!
I will not comply!
I will stand up and say NO!
You can follow or lead but if you are going to do neither then get out of the way!

I agree,this is not a time to think defeat - this is actually the BEST time for conservatives, IMO, because “the middle” got a good, up close peek over the edge of the cliff during the last few years, and they didn’t like what they saw.

Stop and think about how the left is defeating us while we have all the guns and they have none. Once you do that...if you have any sense in your head at all...you should come to the realization that our guns are actually our achilles heel. We sit back on our second ammendment rights and think all will be fine so long as we have the constitutional authority to keep a goddam worthless 19th century firearm in our closet at home. We are like the idiot chess player that will sacrifice all to save his queen. The opponent has figured this out and is using it to his advantage.
More and more firearms are being concentrated into the hands of smaller and smaller percent of the population. There is a tipping point. You know full well what I am getting at.
