Over the many years that I have been a member of FR, I have been assured that no thread is dumped without an explanation given. In the last hour, I have watched sever posted threads disappear without explanation. What the heck ... Mods on a rampage?

Please note that I asked Jim to delete a post of mine today that had some errors in the URLs regarding where to comment against the FCC’s new net neutrality takeover plan.
I’m going repost in the morning. My post had quickly climbed to the top in the google ratings and simply had to be deleted to repair it, as I had inadvertently directed people to comment in incorrect locations at the FCC.
What if the Chicago thugs kidnapped Jim and are keeping him somewhere so they could replace him with Rahm E. and team? That would explain a couple of things I’ve noticed. I’m only half kidding...

I’m no moderator, but I’ve seen threads pulled because of offensive language and subject matter, or the topics come from unsubstantiated sources. Also, I believe that because of copyright issues, there are some sources from which you cannot quote, at least not entirely.
Are you sure the threads haven’t disappeared, but rather have been bumped to other pages?
Then an explanation should have been given ... and at least one was a vanity post, doubt it was a duplicate.
Maybe the pulled threads were duplicates?
I’m sure they pull other people’s threads just to bug you. I bet they think all day, what would bother Doc today.

You haven’t been here long enough to get your decoder ring yet. Nothing ever “disappears”. It just gets encrypted before it gets archived.

My point ... the pulling of any thread should be accompanied with some sort of explanation.
The OP gets a message as to why. For example, one was pulled recently that contained unacceptable language. We have to complete that message field on all pulls.
