Man dies after jumping from Card Sound Bridge
A Miami man is dead and another seriously injured after the two jumped off the Card Sound Bridge "just for fun," Thursday afternoon.
Jorge Suarez-Taupier, 24, died from his injuries and his friend, 20-year-old Isaac Morejon, barely survivde the plunge.
Card Sound Bridge is a toll bridge in Key Largo and is about 60 feet above the water.
Authorities said the two men were drinking beer and fishing befor they made the decision to spice up their evening by jumping into the water.
Well that wasn’t as much fun as I thought it would be.
You think they’d proof read their articles...
:)
More terminal stupidity on display.
"Ohhhh Shiiiiiiiii......"
;)
If you’ve read any of Todd Wright’s other articles, you’d know they don’t get proofed.

Cheers!
...thanks to FReeper OnTheDress for reminding me of this...
Ah, men. They create the modern age of electronics, pioneer medicine, go to the moon and occasionally jump off a bridge shit-faced. You’re the BEST!!!
Had either one procreated yet?
Let’s hope not. We really don’t need another generation of those genes.

Overlooking the river, leaning over the edge
He asked me, Baby, would you jump into the water with me?
I told him, No way, baby, that’s your own death, you see.
From the song which has the same name as my screen name by Lucinda Williams.
When we were kids we used to jump off of the Navesink River Bridge near Sandy Hook every nice summer day. That was 46 feet along the sides and 56 feet in the middle. Didn’t think anything of it. Then again we were sober and knew what angle we were hitting the water at. These guys must have tumbled on the way down and landed straight out. Even then the shouldn’t have died from blunt force trauma. More than likely the guy who died got stunned on impact and drowned.
I can hear that song in my head now. “Car Wheels...” is still a favorite album of mine.

The picture in the article is showing kids jumping off a RR bridge. What’s with that?
