Click on skip the ad in the upper right corner (where it says skip this ad) and it goes away immediately...

I ran every AV and spyware program that I had to try and find out what this crap is about. Thanks for letting us know that Fox is behind it.

Switch to FF3, install the add-on adblock Plus 1.2 and you’ll never see an ad again. It’s fantastic and it’s completely free.

I wasn’t able to skip or close the ad. It is extremely annoying and it made the web site unusable for a bit. Then I looked away for a few seconds and it was gone. Did it actually advertise something?

Try Firefox with the Taco 3.0 add-on. Both are free. Not only will you block annoying ads, but the Firefox browser with Taco 3.0 will prevent websites (ad servers) from tracking you about the web.
To: Dallas59
No. But I use Firefox with AdBlock+

Bad planning on your part does not constitute and automatic emergency on our part. Ad Block in FF allows YOU to choose what you want to see. You DO, however, have to set it up and configure it. I live on FNC and I have never seen the ad you describe. Have 9 tabs open from FNC to Drudge to J Post. Never see anything I dont want to see.
