guttersnipe • \GUTT-er-snype\ • noun 
1: a homeless vagabond and especially an outcast boy or girl in the streets of a city
2: a person of the lowest moral or economic station *

“Unfurl yourselves under my banner, noble savages, illustrious guttersnipes,” wrote Mark Twain sometime around 1869. Twain was among the first writers to use "guttersnipe" for a young hoodlum or street urchin. In doing so, he was following a trend among writers of the time to associate "gutter" (a low area at the side of a road) with a low station in life. Other writers in the late 19th century used "guttersnipe" more literally as a name for certain kinds of snipes, or birds with long thin beaks that live in wet areas. "Gutter-bird" was another term that was used at that time for both birds and disreputable persons. And even "snipe" itself has a history as a term of opprobrium; it was used as such during Shakespeare’s day.

I see it, but I'd be a lot more comfortable with it if they were picking at him for the same reasons we do. They're not. They're upset because he's not acting leftist enough. I'm outraged he wants to nationalize BP. Have you any idea what that will do to the British economy, as if the Brits aren't PO at us enough?
no i didn’t but i did notice the desk was empty and saw the pix of Michelle and the girls behind him. i fear what he will do, a narcissist NEEDS adoration, and if his sources dry up completely, what will the repercussions be? Did you see the Luntz focus group on Sean last night, the 2 blacks STILL carrying his water. i said OMG please show me a black person who will call him out so that you don’t make them all look bad, and then the lightskinned chubby guy was on him good and hard about being a community organizer and no more.
there’s no way for them to be upset at him for the same reasons when our ideologies are directly opposed. i am just glad that he’s experiencing repercussions for his decisions instead of the mindless worship of not that long ago.

I don’t watch his speeches or the reviews of them. I just read the text and whatever is here. Your description of the chubby man’s analysis sounds a bit ... ghey...
kind of reminds you of those sets they have at places like the NEWSeum etc. for kids to plop down and take pix of themselves pretending to be president, a news anchor etc. Obams, pretending he’s a grown up and pres of the USA.

I am compelled to agree with your assessment, xs. Yeah, we’re shooting at him from different directions, but at least the guttersnipes of the MSM stopped the a$$-kissing and started shooting.
