He is very lucky he wasn’t turned into bear poop. Mamma bear must have been in good mood to only give him flesh wounds. I would find it very hard to play dead while a grizzly sniffed and nudged me to move. The urge to panic, run, and...well...die would be overwhelming.

a number of serious bear attacks on Rover's Run, including one in which a 15-year-old girl competing in a bike race suffered a crushed skull and almost died. In a saner day, they would have just thinned out the bear population.
