Watching soccer is like watching grass grow.

One of my kids (who played hockey) remarked that the reason soccer fans riot is out of sheer boredom.

“Do you know who the announcers were? Like those clowns on PGA tour.”

Which channel you’ve watched ? I would recomend watching the games on mexican TV if you’re able to understand spanish.

...Methinks that the English--not used to playing at the 1,500 meter (4,921 feet) altitude where the stadium in located, were starting to "run on fumes" near the end of the game. ...

Rooney seemed to actually get better as the game went on. Great game.

South african vuvuzelas

Who would have thought that the exact same stupid plastic horn I used at my high school football games back in 1966, 67 and 68, that cost about $1.50 and probably manufactured by Mattell here in the U.S. would evolve into a "South African Vuvuzela"??????

Hey, you're shortchanging soccer a full 50% - it's 90 minutes of boredom ending in a tie!

That said, GO USA!!! We love our teams, no matter how silly the sport!

This comment shows the world, that you absolutely don’t understand anything about the worlds most favourite game. It’s 90 minutes of verve.

soccer = gay football

Professional soccer players get better looking women than any other athletes on the planet. That hardly makes them gay.

They actually extended it 4 minutes. How do they do that?

They don't stop the clock for injuries, out of bounds and other stoppages. The ref just keeps track of how much time play was stopped and extends the game by that amount.

Watching soccer is like watching grass grow.

Then stay away from baseball, which was invented so we would have the most boring sport in the world.
