Lemme guess, you forgot to get a permit?

People like this give permit holders like myself a bad name.

Why should she need a permit to carry a gun? The 2nd amendment is everyone’s permit and is pretty clear that she may bear arms without infringment. Rights can not be legislated.

Well said. When the day comes the permit holders will be the first ones rounded up, cause they know who you are.

IMHO, 9/11 was simply a Second Amendment failure...

Her pic was snapped in booking around 5:30 AM prior to a 6 AM flight back to Atlanta. Ya gotta give her a break. I bet when she wants to look good, she looks really good.

Also one Atlanta area paper reported she was only charged with a misdemeanor offense ‘cuz she HAS a GFL ( Georgia firearms license ) but is not licensed to carry in a secure area in Indiana.

The question down here in Atlanta is *HOW* did she board her flight here in ATL the night before with the same bag and got that gun past the crack TSA staff here at HArtsfield — the nation’s busiest airport?????

She looks plenty worried too. I imagine she is thinking “Oh man. One stupid mistake and now I’ll lose my job, never be a flight attendent again, lose my house, etc.” Not the typical mug shot of the lowlife’s that could care less.

But, forgetting that you have your gun with you is a pretty big mistake. Especially going into a known secure area.

Since she ran it through security TWICE, I have to believe that supports her position that she truly FORGOT it was in that bag.

So she may not have technically forgotten she had it with her, but actually did not realize she had it with her. That’s an important issue (but doesn’t absolve her of her misdemeanor offense). She won’t get fired for a misdemeanor I HOPE.

I sent her a nice message of support on her facebook page.

Can you point out to me exactly where in the following U.S. Constitutional Amendment it is required to get any “permission” or “permit” from any governmental authority?

“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

What do you not understand about the words “Shall NOT be infringed”? Having to ask/beg for a “permit” sounds to me like that right is being “infringed”. But that may just be me.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I am with you. However, it's currently the law. It should be changed. I'd rather have my permit, than go to jail for 5yrs because I don't believe with the law.

But, maybe that's me.

That's a completely different discussion/topic.

Yeah, because what's bad about forgetting where my gun is? I mean, what could possible go wrong?

Do you honestly believe the Founding Fathers would view that as a Federal Crime?

Gun laws are now used to punish innocent people who make honest mistakes, and sadly, many gun owners such as yourself buy into this.

Lives are ruined because of an innocuous mistake. Pathetic.
