The Pac-10 conference announced Thursday that the University of Colorado has agreed to leave the Big 12 to join its conference. "This is an historic moment for the Conference, as the Pac-10 is poised for tremendous growth," commissioner Larry Scott said in a statement. "The University of Colorado is a great fit for the Conference both academically and athletically and we are incredibly excited to welcome Colorado to the Pac-10.

Everyone seems to have the 6-PAC deal from the Big-12 to the PAC-10 a done deal.
Do not sleep on the SEC my friends. The entire Conference has been on complete press lockdown all down, and everyone who covers the SEC says it is unprecedented. They cannot get a quote or a hint from anyone on anything.
When this happens in the SEC that means something big is about to happen.
The rumors here in Bama (some coming from Paul feinbaum so get the grains of salt) are that the SEC has offered Texas A&M and Texas — who have suddenly gone into private meetings with each other this AM — and are prepared to accept Texas Tech and Baylor as a Texas package along with those two.
The result of that is that Oklahoma and Oklahoma St will follow Colorado to the PAc-10 and that Boise St, Utah and BYU will also be extended invites by the Pac-10.
If the Big-10 then decides it has to go to 16 to compete — They already have Nebraska, and Missouri is prepared to accept if offered, they will also try again to get Notre Dame, and raid the Big East of Pitt and Rutgers.
The final Domino is the ACC - they will most likely riad the remainder of the Big East.
You should probably throw Rutgers & Syracuse into that mix. 2 eight team divisions. I like your geographical split, but it gets more complicated if 2 more teams join on the eastern edge of the super-conference.
And Baylor. I don’t think the Pac 10 wants them, which is why they grabbed Colorado today.
If the Big 10 still wants them.
Shouldn't that be the Big 10 + 3? They didn't change the name when Penn State joined.
PAC-16. OSU, Texas, OU, A&M, and Tech will follow CU. Nebraska is going to the Big 10, which will have 12 teams.
I think that they do. I know that Penn State has scheduled Missouri in recent years in non-conference play. I’d have to check, but it’s likely that they’ve played other Big Ten universities as well.
Others caution that the Big Ten’s object is to land Notre Dame. Personally I don’t think Notre Dame is going anywhere, and the Big Ten is slowly coming to that realization.
Crazy, eh?
Mistake.

Also the NCAA is supposed to announce what punishment USC finally gets. Saw that it was going to be in a teleconference at 3:00 PM but it didn't say if it was Eastern time or Pacific.
That was before Nebraska.
I know that Penn State has scheduled Missouri in recent years in non-conference play. Id have to check, but its likely that theyve played other Big Ten universities as well.
Check again. Mizzou has played Illinois for the last couple of years but other than that not much.
Okay, I know it won’t end here, but when (if) Nebraska announce tomorrow that it is going to the Big 10, the Big 12 will have 10 teams and the Big 10 will have 12.
Kinda Ironic if that is where the movement ended.
There’s no way that Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State would be put in the same division. Talk about unbalanced.
Been saying all along that if the SEC wants Texas, they will get Texas.
It would restore the rivalry with Arkansas.
Nope. Pac-16 and the death of the Big 12.
