Scythian - Since Dec 29, 1998
I've given my opus a few times but always came a crawlin' back. I figure if they go by "join date" we old timers will go first ...
So any active Freepers out there have joined dates more ancient than mine?

I posted a humor thread stating Russia had launched nukes and that we had 17 minutes left and if we hurried we could still refresh Drudges page another few hundred times before impact. Well, some folks didnt get the humor part and kind of freaked out, I felt bad that I worried some folks seriously (but they didnt read the story obviously) Yep, you are are brilliant...evil but brilliant.

Wow, how’d I miss this one? Oct 18, 1998, still have a bunch of old bookmarks that I can’t seem to bring myself to delete.
(but it looks like the noobs are taking over this thread)

There are quite a few of us who have been associated with JR since the Whitewater BB days of $Prodigy fame (see about page)...
So I assume us folks from the early 90's are PreFReepers!

I’m happy with my old date, but it would have been older if I signed up when I first lurked that ?feb/march?. Came here thru Whitewater. I was using my son’s computer at the time, and didn’t know I could use someone elses computer to sign up. I waited until I finally had my own to register. Idiot me! I was a newbie in more ways than one!!

I signed up in April of 1998. Don’t know how to find the exact date. Never did an opus, have never been tempted to do so.

If you only had 17 minutes would you take the time to read the story? :-) At FR, there are two options:
1. Read it, then comment on the grammar.
2. Ignore it, and rant about your favorite single issue.
