For Immediate Release June 09, 2010

Message from the President Regarding the LightScanner 32 System

TO THE CONGRESS ON THE UNITED STATES:

Pursuant to the authority vested in me by section 902(b)(2) of the Foreign Relations Authorization Act, Fiscal Years 1990 and 1991 (Public Law 101-246)(the "Act"), and as President of the United States, I hereby report to the Congress that it is in the national interest of the United States to terminate the suspensions under section 902(a)(3) of the Act with respect to the issuance of permanent munitions export licenses for exports to the People's Republic of China insofar as such restrictions pertain to the LightScanner® 32 System used for gene mutation genotyping for individualized cancer treatment. License requirements remain in place for these exports and require review on a case-by-case basis by the United States Government.

Okay Cindy, I’ll bite. What is the Lightscanner 32? What do you think that the ChiComs will do with it? Is this good or bad. With this guy in the WH, I’ll just shudder and await your answer.

I used Google to view the technology.

I am not a geek, but it looks like it is used for medical technology.

Does it or can it be used for dual-use purposes?

I don’t know.

? So Hussein is giving away our medical information/technology now? Or selling it to the Chicoms?

I guess when the Chinese are buying up your debt, they can extract a great price.

Of course, Hussein is such a commie he’d give it away anyway.

Henceforth to be known as "The People's Lightscanner for use in Assisting Workers Exceed Glorious Production Quotas", or the "Hussein 32" for short.

Here is the manufacturer.
I'm no expert, but this seems dual-use to me, and apparently to the Dept of State also. Thus the need for export license. I'm assuming the Chicoms want it for fighting disease, but wouldn't be surprised if they also put it to work as a tool for creating it.
