Being short isn't easy. Short people make less money, have a harder time finding a mate, and are less likely to be elected to public office, statistics show.
A new study suggests that it gets worse: The shortest short people -- men under 5 feet 5 inches and women under 5 feet -- are roughly 50 percent more likely than the tallest people to have a heart attack or die from heart disease, according to an analysis published in the European Heart Journal.

But they’re necessary if normal-sized people are to have reliable armrests.

But Obamah promised me hope?
My husband says he loves that I’m sort. He also said the top of my head makes a great place to put his beer while looking for the remote.
I’m not short, I just ain’t tall!
Although I see lots of short older men, but very few very tall older men. Am I crazy?
(By the way, I am 6’4”.)
I find this very interesting. I have never seen old TALL people. My father told me that tall people die younger and I have read a lot of medical info that supports that as well.
My husband’s family are all very, very short statured. Nice, short Italians. Longevity runs in the family on both of his sides too. His father’s father lived to be 100 and his mother’s father died in his 90s. The only relative who died before the late 80s was my mother-in-law’s mother who died in her twenties (back in 1928).
I guess I just don’t believe this one article.
No. You are not. I just posted something similar. I have read medical evidence that it’s tall people who do not live long. I joked that it’s like dogs. Little dogs live way longer than big dogs.
I’m 5’6’’. Whew!
And yet the Japanese live longer than most, and have the least heart attacks, comparatively...
The study is not about longevity, just heart disease. Your observation and the study can both be true.
I’m F*cked
In reference to your dog observation, large dogs have shorter lives because they do all the work and technically small dogs are, in fact, rats and therefore disqualified.
You're welcome.
Study: People who do stupid studies, are dumber than those that don’t.
