A $75 million movie from MGM about a Chinese communist invasion of the United States. A brazenly patriotic smack-down of Obama-era socialism. Centering around an Afghanistan war vet. Starring Tom Cruises son. Featuring music by Toby Keith. With a plot devised with help from the RAND Corporation.
A hard-core remake of Red Dawn.

“Modern China is hardly communist.”
China is going to one day seek Israel’s destruction when the Euprates dries up. [Revelation — 200 thousand thousand serpents spewing brimstone.]

Who gets to play the part of commie collaborator Mayor Bates?
Perhaps Obama can fit it in between rounds of golf.

Cruise used to bother me some, but he did a great job in War of the Worlds — conservative themed too.

"I think we have more to fear from the slow invasion and war that is going on right now."
Remember how Powers Booth described how the Russians and Cubans invaded America to the kids. It started with their special forces coming across the border with the rest of the illegals.

“You think you’re tough for eating beans every day? There’s half a million scarecrows in Denver who’d give anything for one mouthful of what you got. They’ve been under siege for about three months. They live on rats and sawdust bread and sometimes... on each other. At night, the pyres for the dead light up the sky. It’s medieval.”

"Cruise used to bother me some, but he did a great job in War of the Worlds conservative themed too." Cruise is a blind pig that finds an occasional acorn. As loosely as it played with the history surrounding the Satsuma Rebellion, Last Samurai was, IMHO a very well made film. I also liked Valkyrie, but then, I'm pretty partial to nazi-killin' films :-)

It may just be a coincidence, but in the original V series, which ran at about the same time the original red Dawncame out , Lane Smith played a character named also named Bates, who collaborated with the Visitors. In that series, he was a businessman. In the current series, the collaborator is a reporter

Here is my version of the same scene for a remake:

Col. Andy Tanner: There *were*. Then he threw the last of his flask on the fire...that scene still haunts to this day.

It seems odd that they would release it about three weeks after the election

Why bother with a Chinese invasion? Many think Obama is Red enough.
(I am not advocating violence against the US government, just discussing script ideas. Then again, no one on the left seemed to have a problem with the book, play and movie about assassinating George W. Bush.)
