Last year was my first year trying gardening up here at 8,500 ft elevation in the Colorado Rockies. I am just trying different things to see what works and what does not. One thing I learned was that I need to start things indoors so there is more time for plants to get large before the first freeze. I will probably start several things indoors in the fall so they produce before I can plant outdoors.
I can’t imagine trying to grow vegetables in your climate.
At least in Alaska, they have the midnight sun to grow the crops.
Sunrise: 4:25am
Sunset: 11:34pm
It’s always best to plant your gardening zone for maximum success.
