A very interesting thesis.

Palaeoconservatives are very opposed to universals, seeing them as subversive and leveling.

This, I think, is best expressed in the idea that many of them have, following the lead of their hero Ron Paul, that abortion should be "left up to the states."

By taking such a position they reject the self-evident universal truth concerning the natural law that the founders laid down as the cornerstone principles of this republic, and the understanding the founders had and expressed that the protection of the God-given and therefore unalienable rights of the individual person is the raison d'etre of all human government.

No, it matters a great deal. One is an act of congress. Another is an individual person’s opinion expressed on a radio show.

And we are expressing our opinions by once again disagreeing with Ron Paul's DeceptiCon statements. And as a public figure and a US Congressional district representative, what he says in any public medium does matter.

One goes in the record forever, another floats away to be heard by maybe 10 people getting ready for work.

Or perhaps it gets added to all of the other anti-semitic, conspiracy-theory-oriented, Code-Pink-like things Paul has said in the past.

Ron Paul’s backers at Neo Nazi Storm Front are cheering.

One more reason Ron Paul is against fighting the IslamOfascists who attacked out country and killed over 3,000 Americans.

Interesting how this Neo Nazi POS is revered my many on FR

using an embargo to starve civilians would be immoral

How about using an embargo to starve enemy combatants of their weapon supply routes?

You say potato, I say potato...

You interventionists need to recognize you're the flip side of Pelosi's desires to dictate everyone's life in the US.

For good men to do nothing...

If Paul is a non-interventionist, why is he sticking his nose into what is going on over there? Yet he seems to do that an awful lot, and always against Israel. What about Arab/islamic "statism?" What about Arab/islamic governments' aggression against civilians? No, it's always Israel, Israel, Israel. They are obsessed by Israel. They are more obsessed by Israel than the Israelis.

Well said.

Technically, it was well outside of Israeli territory when they boarded, but since the fleet broadcast its intention to run the blockade, they got what they wanted. And now, they want to do it again.

Israel, use torpedos this time.

Has Ron Paul ever denounced aid to the Palestinians or Egyptians? He seems ofly partisan in his non-interventionism.

‘We must understand them’ = liberal code for ‘we must kiss their ass and abandon our principles and freedoms to play nice- and toss the white flag in the air’

Absolutely correct. His statements aren’t any different from the kooks on the left (a few he’s endorsed, BTW)- and freepers get their panties in a twist BECAUSE their statements ‘embolden our enemies’. How does Ron Paul condemning Israel NOT embolden Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran? I don’t care how isolationist, anti-statist, etc. some claim Paul to be. His comments are reckless and fly in the face of the very things he presents- not to mention the country he represents as well.
