LIMA (BNO NEWS) A Dutch man who is the prime suspect in the disappearance of American teenager Natalee Holloway, Joran van der Sloot, has been accused of murdering a young woman in Peru.
Police said Van der Sloot, 22, is the main suspect in the murder of 21-year-old Stephany Tatiana Flores Ramirez, whose body was found in the Miraflores District of Lima in the early morning hours on Wednesday.

Karma?
Sure!
You’re added.
Don’t know if Peru has the death penalty, but read that in 2006 they were considering it for rape. If so, then one would think they would now have it for murder AND rape.
Thanks!
I don’t think he will escape this crime. His dad is dead and not here to help him cover up again. And he ain’t in Aruba where his godfather, Jan van der Stratten, was the Chief of Police at the time of Natalee’s disappearance. No one left to help him except his momma, Anita. I think Anita is too much of a space cadet to be helpful to him.
I wonder if they’ll find him alive? I also wonder, if he hasn’t committed suicide, if he’s reading our words and/or lurking at Scared Monkeys.
I often wondered if his dad kept him from physically hurting his mom Anita. Surely she is very busy as a widow with two young sons and her eldest now identified as WANTED BY INTERPOL.
Hah! Watch the series “Criminal Minds” on TV. It’s all about profiling.
What ever happened to the Alpo brothers? Did they go back to Venezuela?
I can’t imagine Joran commiting sucide. He is far too arrogant.
I don't believe any SA country has the DP (except for Guyhana (sp?)), for anything other than terrorism and treason. It's tough to do away with capital punishment for treason when the military coup is a staple commodity of the entire continent.
I'm fairly confident Peru does not have capital punishment for just murder.
*ping*
Kalpoes are still in Aruba. Their lawsuit against Dr Phil is still pending.
Thanks for the update on the dog food brothers.
Here’s more on Joran:
The Dutch government said Interpol has issued an international arrest warrant for him.
Guardia said van der Sloot, 22, who was in the country for a poker tournament, appears with the young woman in a video taken at a Lima casino early Sunday.
The victim’s father, Ricardo Flores, told reporters she was killed about 8 a.m. that morning in a hotel room that was splattered with blood, indicating a struggle.
The killing occurred exactly five years after the May 30, 2005, disappearance in Aruba of Holloway.
Van der Sloot left Peru on Monday, Guardia said, according to immigration registry. He had been staying at the hotel since May 14 and checked out on Sunday four hours after he arrived there with the victim, the police general added.
“We have an interview with a worker at the hotel who says she saw this foreigner with the victim enter his room,” said Guardia.
Interpol has issued an international arrest warrant for van der Sloot, Dutch Foreign Ministry spokesman Bengt van Loosdrecht told The Associated Press in The Netherlands.
(ME) I think they’ve got the goods on him this time around!
That's easy - he looks & acts like he's entirely separated from emotion, vacant. This is a tell-tale sign of a sociopath. The only time he shows any emotion is when he's defending himself and NEVER when speaking about the victim or their family, again a sign of severe narcissism almost always found in serial killers.
Lastly, he definitely has displayed a grandiose persona and sense of self, and people who know him say he can be incredibly charming. These are all signs of a sociopath, and are almost always found in one degree or another in most serial killers.
There's a great book called Without Conscience: The Disturbing World of the Psychopaths Among Us , that's available in paperback that really details the common traits found in modern serial killers. This kid fits most, perhaps all of them.
There are currently 3 ongoing threads.
Thank you ODH.
VanDer Sloot fits the profile EXACTLY!
Sounds like he’s pretty much nailed this time.
Just find him.
There’s always too many threads.
Deepak and Satish Kalpoe appear to not want their day in Court
It would appear that Deepak and Sataish Kalpoe are fraidy-scared to come to the United States and be deposed. What, the Kalpoes do not want their day in court? Looks that way Kalpoes continue to make excuses for being deposed as Defense counsel claims they are intentionally filling out Visa applications so to be denied access to the United States.
Dr. Phil defense attorneys accuse Kalpoes of misleading the Court.
