"Twenty News Question 12" Great questions!
I've always wondered, what is correct pronunciation for the French city of "Ypres."
So glad to learn that normal English pronounce it "Wipers."
;-)

"Impact of the War on the Nations Viewpoint (by Hadley Cantril) 13-14"
- Now 71% of Americans think the US is not giving enough to help the allies -- up from 15% in February.
- Only 38% now believe the Allies will win the war -- down from over 70% last October.
- Now 32% think Germany will win the war -- up from under 10% last October.
- And even 51% think the US will go into the war -- up from 30% in January.
- But still only 7% who want the US to declare war on Germany.
So there is just no doubt where Americans' sympathies lie, and the majority are even realistic enough to know the US will eventually have to get into it.
But over 90% are still hoping that, somehow, our guys won't have to go...
