I loved the video. 65 years ago !
I bet if the same celebration would have happened today, there would have been many tickets written for being on top of cars, no seat belts worn. 0bama would try to get an excessive celebration law passed to prevent that kind of enthusiasm.

What a great video from Honolulu! Thanks for sharing! If they were celebrating like that today everyone would be arrested for not wearing seat belts, smoking in public and drinking. God Bless the USA and what a generation!

check out shatner's raw nerve interview of Gene Simmons for more info on gene's background and upbringing, he if a fascinating guy.
To: JohnInSoCal
Yes, saw that interview. He is so grateful for America. He is an immigrant whose family endured much during WWII and the aftermath.
To: Matchett-PI
Thank you for posting. This is a wonderful video. The color brings it to life and it is as if we are there. Imagine the feeling it must have been to celebrate the end of this war. My father was a young Lieutenant - a Combat Engineer in the Pacific at this time.
I have forwarded this on to many who would appreciate.

Never was a big fan of kiss, but i like Gene. He’s quite a character.
