As a sushi lover, you ONLY eat raw SEAFOOD, -> NOT <- raw fresh water fish (BECAUSE of parasites!!!)
And, its even best to freeze the seafood first. (kills any other parasites that it may have although ocean seafood normally dont get it.
As a hillbilly and a redneck, we know you dont eat that stuff raw.
Some of these people, geesh! ya wonder where they grew up...

I do not think it is a purely regular but I have seen some episodes. As you mentioned disguisting but really fascinatig the lifecycle and survival strategies of the parasites.
