SAN FRANCISCO -- President Obama will land in the Bay Area today to raise money for U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer's re-election campaign as an anti-incumbent wave has Republicans in blue California convinced this is their best shot in years to oust their liberal nemesis.

The president's two-day trip, which includes a pitch Wednesday for green jobs, underscores the high stakes for Democrats, who want to avoid a big loss this year in California, which could be a blow to the party in the 2012 presidential election.

...Obama's trip to the Bay Area, a little more than a month after he traveled to Los Angeles for Boxer fundraisers, intends to help the three-term senator on two fronts: Today, he's expected to help raise $1.5 million, a possible record for a U.S. Senate campaign, in events at San Francisco's Fairmont Hotel.

On Wednesday, he'll head to Fremont to appear at an event at solar energy firm Solyndra Inc., where he will underscore green technology, an issue that Boxer holds as central to her role as the first woman to chair the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.

HA, because Obozo has such a great track record when he supports ‘Rat candidates in other states......

It is GOOD news whenever Obozo sees fit to try to “support” a candidate

Doubtful.

Boxer will keep giving away massive entitlements and the scared will vote her back in.

Boxer is a coward and a traitor. Perfect liberal.

One has to conclude that Obama is not that involved with running of the administration, He is the spokes person, an empty suit. (IMO)

He has been on TV almost every day, promoting progressive agenda knowing the MSM will cover it.

The Irony from the article is he will promote Green Technology in CA to help the earth. This highlights what a farce the whole green agenda is when he is not prioritizing the oil spill or the damage to the environment. Seems very aloof about it. EPA has been slow to respond.

Dodd blames Bush for oil spill
The Hill ^

Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) on Tuesday said partial blame for the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico lies with the Bush administration.

Asked on the “Imus in the Morning” program on Fox Business Network if the Obama administration is to blame for the damaging fallout of the spill, the Connecticut senator took aim at the previous administration.

“Well, you know, they come into office a year ago with all of this. And so, after the last eight years —” Dodd said, until being interrupted by host Don Imus, who said “Oh, come on.”

“It was ‘drill, drill, drill.’ I think you were quoting ‘Drill, drill, drill’ a few months ago,” Dodd fired back.

“Don’t try to lump me with Sarah Palin,” Imus responded. “And don’t use that lame excuse to me about the Bush administration. Have you lost your mind?”
