5 or 6 aircraft carriers? We only have 11 (i think) and all the support crafts to go along, its going to look like Copper Canyon at Lake Havasu on Memorial weekend around there. Without all the naked chicks on the houseboats though...

By then, the Pentagon plans to have at least 4 or 5 US aircraft carriers visible from Iranian shores.Is that wise? I understand about making a show of force, but that seems like a lot of eggs in one basket. Why not start by deploying a bunch of B-52's and B-1's to Iraq, Afghanistan and Diego Garcia?

They do this BS every time there is a CVBG turnover.
Part of the campaign to keep oil prices up.
Two in the gulf is not a war indicator, just a normal turnover of forces.
When you see 3 to 4, and all of big decks outside of the gulf, then you are looking at an indicator.
You do not operate carriers in the gulf when the threat is Iran, you move them to Gonzo Station in the NAS. And 3 is the minimum needed, preferably 4 to 6.
