Pier is about 20ft above the water and not accessible.

Go 60, apparently.

Note to self: avoid Caps Lock.

"It was a good size one," Paul Tenuto said. "We'll be back for it."

If it was that big, they couldn't have kept it. Pity.

Yeah we have some of those here in Tampa. Hanging on to a barnacle covered pier isn’t exactly the safest thing.

I recognize that fish.

It's "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero.

Look real careful and you can see a fish in the photo.

“Good afternoon, ladies,” said the blind man as he strolled through the fish market. “Lovely weather we’re having.”

Paul Tenuto said, “I didn’t know what to do.” Well, bud, since the fish didn’t make it to the dinner table but you wife was never in doubt to reach the dinner table, I’d say you really didn’t know what to do.

When I was a kid (that was decades ago, to be sure), my best friend (Bill Rhodes) had a little sister (Wanda) who would tag along when we went fishin' down to the lake.

We had fishin' poles, Catalpa Tree worms, white bread dough balls, canned corn, and even one or two artificial lures. Little sister didn't even have a fishin' pole, so we made one for her out of a stick and a piece of line with a hook on the end. She was havin' fun just reaching the line out onto the water (we didn't even waste a sinker on her line!), but she wanted us to put some 'bait' on her hook, too.

We wouldn't put a worm on her hook, so she picked a yellow daisy and hooked it through then gently 'cast' the line out onto the water, where the daisy spun around on top of the water. ... The bass that grabbed that daisy had to weight three or four pounds, and you guessed it, me nor my friend caught anything but little Brim all day. Her little face was about to split from smilin' when that fish was layin' in the grass and she was touching its slimy side. She named it, too ... 'My fish!'

We stopped letting her go fishin' with us after that.

And it is true! Bill still lives in the area, though I don’t know what hapopened to Wanda.

That’s a snapper. I’m not sure about the fish, though.

Her husband, Paul, threw down his rod and called 911, staying on the pier with the Beulah couple's 18-month-old son. Below, Patricia clung to a barnacle-covered piling beneath the fishing pier.
