I know, and honestly I don't use anything that has that, I'm pretty picky. I even make my own marshmallows occasionally. But once in a while a grammy just has to let go and pour on the sauce, as in marshmallow/butter sauce. maybe once a year.

Oh man, Mom used to make these for me all the time!! Delicious!!
I think she would use the whole bag of butterscotch and maybe 3/4 bag of the dark chocolate chips though. This gave the icing a little less of that semi-sweet chocolate flavor since it tended to overwhelm the taste. She didn’t refrigerate it either, just left it to cool at room temperature for a little while. We would eat them while the icing was still warm and wonderfully gooey.

You’re so right!
A few years ago we had a potluck lunch at work. One of the employees brought a pan of these as her contribution. I could smell them the moment she came in the building with them. After decades removed from Mom’s Scotcheroos I still recognized the aroma. Kind of a Pavlov’s Dog type of reaction.

That's crazy talk. Every Potluck needs a molded jello salad...and nothing else!

Im Lutheran. Dittos! I really wanted to post some photos of ours I took today but my Flickr account is over drawn. I am going to pay for unlimited hosting but I'm thinking of going with Photo bucket as it is owned by Fox. Any preferences between PB and Flikr?

I post my photos on Facebook, because my ‘fans’ demand it. I might launch a gardening blog when I’m back home again full-time.
...Because there are so FEW of them on the web, LOL!
