CBS axes 7 shows to make room for fall newcomers

CBS is giving seven of its old shows the heave-ho to make room for new fall fare with a shake-'em-up schedule for the 2010-11 season.

All his policies and wants do not have to be enacted for him to be a success. Therefore, I want our president to be a success, not a failure. That would not be good for our country.

Finally, Shatner stars in his first sitcom whose title alone is sure to be noticed. Called something akin to "(Bleep) ... My Dad Says," it focuses on Shatner's character as an opinionated dad whose rants find their way into the public sphere when his son posts them on a Twitter account read by millions.

He’s no Jack Lord. David Caruso has Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett down perfect. His character Horatio Caine is Steve McGarrett. Do you really think the great minds at CBS could have come up with a character like that out of the blue?

Yep, that was pretty much the point I stopped watching. The professor bought the house and got a hybrid, was going to install solar, etc, and just lost interest. Think they have shows on PBS on home improvement, didn't need to spend any primetime watching it.

I certainly want to see Obama fail in what he is trying to do, but I think I would rather see him wake up one morning and announce that he has honestly seen the error of his ways, announce that he is committing his life to Christ, leaving politics and going to do missionary work. And really meaning it. If God could change Paul, anything can happen.

Pretty much. Whether or not we have a lousy president, I do not want the office of our president to be seen as a failure. He won’t be here in a couple years, so we’ll have someone else to like or dislike.

Since I have been without the tube since ‘97, this isn’t really all that big for me.

Heck, even in hotels all I watch is maybe some adult swim, Fox news and the History channel. Whatever city I’m in, I immediately skip past the networks and any sports related stuff.

My favorite part of ‘Cold case’ episodes is the great song selection. They end each episode (including showing a cop putting the evidence box back on the shelf) with a great song from the year the murder happened. Very nice touch.
