Nicolas Cage, the Hollywood actor, has revealed an unusual diet in which he eats meat only from animals that mate in a dignified way.
The 46-year-old, whose most recent role is a drug-addled policeman in Bad Lieutenant, said he doesnt eat because he does not like the way they have sex.
A report in The Sun said Cage, who won an Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas, ate fish and fowl.
He told the newspaper: "I love all animals. I have a fascination with fish, birds, whales - sentient life - insects, reptiles.
"I actually choose the way I eat according to the way animals have sex. I think fish are very dignified with sex. So are birds.
"But pigs, not so much. So I don't eat pig meat or things like that. I eat fish and fowl."
Cage, who lives in New Orleans, where Bad Lieutenant is set, has a reputation for eccentric behaviour and once owned a pet octopus.

Bad Lieutenant is a pretty crappy movie.

Ok, he's officially a weirdo now in my book. He earned that title when he ate a live cockroach in Vampire's Kiss.

Cage: "You're a sexy cockroach, yes you are!"

I think fish are very dignified with sex.
What if they're 'Gay Fish'?

I have seen chickens having sex and it is NOT dignified. I didn’t know he lived in New Orleans but I did see John Goodman walking down the street in the French Quarter carrying a box on his shoulders. I think he must live there.

Does he consider the Human Act of Love between two people who profoundly adore each other, and have pledged themselves to one another before God and the rest of Humanity, as a Dignified Act?
Then he could be a CANNIBAL!
But Only Married people who REALLY LOVE EACH OTHER would be Kosher. (or Hallel, depending on one’s persuasion)
(snicker)
What a maroon.

Cage took this scene to heart:
Vincent: Want some bacon?
Jules: No man, I don't eat pork.
Vincent: Are you Jewish?
Jules: Nah, I ain't Jewish, I just don't dig on swine, that's all.
Vincent: Why not?
Jules: Pigs are filthy animals. I don't eat filthy animals.
Vincent: Bacon tastes gooood. Pork chops taste gooood.
Jules: Hey, sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know 'cause I wouldn't eat the filthy motherf____r. Pigs sleep and root in sh**. That's a filthy animal. I ain't eat nothin' that ain't got enough sense enough to disregard its own feces.
Vincent: How about a dog? Dogs eats its own feces.
Jules: I don't eat dog either.
Vincent: Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal?
Jules: I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
Vincent: Ah, so by that rationale, if a pig had a better personality, he would cease to be a filthy animal. Is that true?
Jules: Well we'd have to be talkin' about one charmin' motherf____n' pig. I mean he'd have to be ten times more charmin' than that Arnold on Green Acres, you know what I'm sayin'?

He was good in Knowing, surprisingly. He looks good in the upcoming Sorceror’s Apprentice. In both cases, he plays eccentrics. Maybe he found his niche.

The marriage to Lisa Marie Presley was strange because Cage is known to have the largest collection of Elvis memorabilia in the world. Is was opined that he just added her to it.
