Still one of my favorites. I agree with you, that movie is a great way to teach kids about what happened in 1776. If more “adults” would watch it, they’d understand why independence had to come before the abolition of slavery. Unfortunately, most prefer to remain ignorant to that fact. When I hear the ignorant complain about the founding fathers not addressing slavery at that time, I always think of “1776”.
