Have owned 2 Firebirds, 1984 (which did look like KITT) and the 2001 coupe which I still have. They have been pretty good, have had some electrical problems though. The main thing about Firebirds is that they drop in value pretty fast.

And maybe it's my imagination, but I see some strong styling similarities between the Fiero and the DeLorean sports car made by DMC in the mid 80's.
You own two Vibes or two Azteks? If you’re an Aztek owner, I have to ask the question I’ve always wanted to ask an Aztek owner. What makes a person walk into a car dealership and say to the salesman, “That’s a really UGLY car, I’ll take it!”?
I want to ask Honda Element owners the same question.
The Vibe was a NUMMI.(sp?)
Joint Venture with Toyota. So in a way, does it really county as a Pontiac?
Like the new Grand Prix and G8’s. Those were Australian cars. Not real Pontiacs.
No, I wish it was mine.
That’s why I was asking about model year.
That is one beautiful car. If it were about 10 years from now, I would buy one in a heart beat. It’s a real shame that so few were made.
My thought is that it would have burned, 4 years prior.
My son’s Gran Turismo video game had a Ponitac Vibe GT on it. The kids loved pretending they were racing Mama’s car on the track.
I own two Vibes. My daughter took the 2003 Vibe away to school, and I have a 2007 model. They’ve been dependable little cars. Totally agree about Azteks and Elements, but Vibes aren’t glamorous either.
Right, it’s a Toyota Matrix clone — essentially a hatchback Corolla. Good little commuting cars.
There twice.

About the body panels, sounds like what the Smart does right now. Interesting, you won’t see a scratch on a Smart. If it’s black, it’s black all the way through. No white to show underneath when scratched.
