I'd love to be able to tell you in precise detail what it is that I so thoroughly loathe about Sex And The City.
But to do that, I'd have to sit down and watch it - and frankly I'd rather be dipped in honey, dangled upside-down from a tree and eaten alive by fire ants.

I think it’s just how clustering works. At my previous company we had a lot of lesbians but not many gays, at this company not many lesbians quite a few gays.

Knowing someone who is a homosexual is not the same as having one as a friend. I actually have a lesbian acquaintance or two, but they’re not friends in the normal sense. I had one over for Thanksgiving one time, and she’s welcome whenever. But I haven’t seen her for several years, and we never palled around. She had her circle of friends separate from me and my friends. I actually have a lesbian co-worker “friend” who is as conservative politically as anyone you could meet. But again, not a real friend (some one you associate with apart from work) but a friendly acquaintance.
BTW: If only I could look as good as Mikhail when I am in my 60s. After meeting him, it made me think that maybe I should've taken dance lessons with my sister. He is also one of the few of us guys to keep most of his real hair.
I never said knowing, I said friends. We know hundreds maybe thousands, we get at least 100 friends of at least casual nature, and thus will probably have at least 1 or 2 that are gay. It’s just stats.
