Fairly certain you'll never see former First Lady Laura Bush with dreadlocks? Think again.
In an interview scheduled to air on Tuesday's "The Oprah Show," Jenna Bush reveals that her mother is "a secret Rastafarian" who "[plays] Bob Marley" around the house.

Marley converted to Catholicism before he died. A speaker in Hawaii who travels the circuit giving presentations on his faith tells of visiting Marley’s gravesite, seeing rosaries and other Catholic representations of the faith, and talking with the Catholic bishop who presided over his conversion. Marley also renounced to him his former life of getting and staying stoned on pot.

I’d never heard reggae until my son’s wedding. His brothers-in-law had wired the family compound and played reggae pretty much the whole weekend. Although I’m a classical and bluegrass fan, I have to say there is much to be said in favor of reggae. Unlike rap, it is restrained, cool. Guess you could say I’m a convert. sd

My daughters would rib me like that and their father too.
Jenna is open and trusting and pretty high spirited and obviously adores her Mother.

there have great First Ladies and Laura Bush is one of them. She went about her job as FLOTUS and certainly didn’t pout or whine or complain (like SOMEONE else we all know & despise)about not having a special agenda,project,or cause. SLaura Bush is one of the individuals where her actions spoke louder than words. Of all the 1st Ladies she was one of my favs and she KNEW how to dress appropriately,too;the essence of conservative female diginity.
The first mental picture I had was of Laura with chicken fat dreads and a big spliff dangling from the corner of her mouth.
