The blame game. obozo claims they're right on top of the situation. It's all B.P's fault. Probably is, but just stand by for weeks and let the oil pour out unabated?

No shrimp on the barby this summer.

Newsflash!

They did NOT respond on purpose.

They wanted a crisis so it would not go to waste.

They wanted it to get bad so they could demonstrate how bad drilling can be.

Does anyone NOT think that if they had immediately brought the full weight
of the Coast Guard and Navy that this could have bee averted?

I’m not sure about that. The Navy and Coast Guard are not really in the drilling business, but may have vessils, supplies and equipment that could have helped, if they were only ordered to do so.

The obozo admin did nothing, but I don’t think it was deliberate. It would be too risky politically.

More likely it’s their inability to make a sensible decision on anything.

The oil industry makes a lot of money, but less than 10% profit. If the gov’t takes it over, the price of oil will skyrocket. Our gov’t can’t do anything economically.

They do take a lot of vacations, don’t they?

Fun in the Carolinas while the Gulf Coast becomes an oil slick.

Bush would have been crucified.
