At the Washingon Post, a controversy is brewing over government disinvitation of Franklin Graham. Here is the discussion set of questions:
What do you think? National day of prayer and controversy Did the Pentagon do the right thing by disinviting evangelist Franklin Graham from a National Day of Prayer event next week? Should government officials decide who can or cannot speak at such an event? Should the government even proclaim a National Day of Prayer? Was a federal judge right to rule it unconstitutional?

The military does what they are instructed by the Commander in Chief....
Wrong on every count so far.
~~~~~PING~~~~~~
Thank you, Yorkie!
Prayers said for our beloved America...may she ever be free and safe from terrorism (domestic and imported!!).
Waht is the date of the National Day of Prayer?
I don’t even recognize the country of my childhood anymore. (sigh)
I still have my Daddy’s Dogtags from WW2. They clearly state his Religion on them.
Religion has NEVER been an issue in the Military before. Why Now?
I clearly remember Every President, no matter what their denomination, having a Prayer breakfast, a national Day of prayer, and going to Church somewhere.
It’s NEVER been an issue before. Why is it now?
If you-know-who were ANY kind of “christian”, even a lukewarm, cultural, nominal, mainline, black-liberation-theology-marxist kind of “christian,” he would do SOME kind of “Churchianity” behavior.
But he doesn’t. Not even for show.
BUT he sure does a LOT of muslim stuff.
The National Day of Prayer is this coming Thursday, May 6.
Thank you for the lovely You Tube Clip.
Here is one of my favorites - Nana Mouskouri singing Amazing Grace:
Yes he does. You are so right on all you posted. Reverend Graham was on TV tonight, saying he is going to pray, right outside the Capitol on National Prayer Day (Thursday), even though he was DIS-invited to enter. He said no one can stop him - he feels it is his God Given Right to do so. Watch the LSM make this look like a Right Wing Extremist issue.
Beautiful, Yorkie! Just beautiful!!!!
This is getting WAY Serious.
Beautiful......
That’s one of my favorite songs and one of my favorite videos.
Our choir is doing this song at the end of this month.
Rev. Graham said that he is certain we are in the time of the “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse” Rev. 6: 1-8
I must do some personal study on this.
I wish I could hear your choir. Every rendition that I have ever heard of “Amazing Grace” is beautiful!
It’s what we’re all about...communication with our God.
Thank you for the Ping, Dear Yorkie, and I was Dismayed when Franklin Graham was Disinvited; I couldn’t Believe it. :( The Eroding of the Christian Foundations of our Nation Keep Happening Little by Little, and I Pray for the Election of Many Godly Men to Lead us Back to our Founders’ Principles and Ideals.
We’re doing “When I Pray.”
That is such a beautiful song. Thank you for introducing me to it.
You’re welcome. I love the video too.
